"Everything is great except the bathroom! The basin area is so silly, a shelf is just where your head should be. Impossible to wash face properly. Shower over bath is really bad as bath is so narrow and deep, glass area is long enough,the worst I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Water on floor and depth of bath dangerous. Such a shame because the room is lovely."

"We chose this hotel as it was fairly close to the start of the marathon which is what we came for. The good: - Great but also decently priced breakfast - Nice looking and warm swimming pool and even warmer spa - Staff were lovely - The room was clean with the exception of the bathroom The bad: - There is a large building being build right next door and we were woken up at 6;30am on Monday morning by the noise, not want we want after a marathon or on our holidays (see photo). - The mini fridge was so packed with alcohol that you could not fit one thing in there. We called to have it all taken away but they said they charge $30 to do it. We ended up putting the bottle/cans in the cupboard. No hotel had ever charged us for this. - The seating by the pool is a huge issue. We couldn't get a single seat by the pool over the weekend during the day at all. The seating they do offer is around 25-30 lounge chairs for free. But you can pay $70 for a cabana - but that price is on top of the $800 Saturday night price, which is too much. The pool area is not large enough on a busy/sunny/holidays - day. - The 'Save the Earth' tag on the door and get a $10 credit per day system is not working. We didn't get our room cleaned for 2 days to take part in this offer but then were surprised to find the $20 credit was not added to our room. The staff did add it later but the green slip system does not work. - The bathroom had a small amount of mould and the vent over the shower had a large amount of dust. I don't have this in my house, so don't want to see it on my holidays either (see photo)."

"Amazing hotel, great location, close to Cypress Ave Tram station and Surfers Paradise Shopping area, atmosphere is great, service is impeccable, rooms are quiet. Just amazing"

"Cons: *Have stayed here a few times and the rooms are in need of a make over. *Construction next door with no sound proofing did impact on our stay, despite being on the 17th floor. *The bathrooms are tiny and very impractical. No way of using basin without bumping face on ledge, especially when brushing teeth/washing face. *The app used to communicate re housekeeping or maintenance is useless. Many attempt to get toothbrushes, vanity kits etc delivered to room. Hit and miss. *Requested for make up mirror to be fixed in bathroom, without success. *Place constantly appeared dusty. Housekeeping could do better *no bottles water in the room *no toothbrushes, vanity kits, razors left in room unless requested, and when requested, a lot of effort to get them delivered (see above) *Balcony rusty. *Breakfast very repetitive not much variation. Pros: Beds comfortable Front desk Staff and dining/bar staff very welcoming Yamagen restaurant excellent."
