"Very dusty room and the bed was supported with a piece of wood with nails sticking out of it."

"Room was spacious and the bed comfortable but that’s about it. Very dated and our view overlooked the car park. The bathroom is not fully enclosed. There’s a panel between the bed and the ‘bathroom’ area but it doesn’t cover the full area so light comes through down the sides and the top sections (see pics). At night, turning the light on in the ‘bathroom’ area will also emit that light quite brightly into the bed area. Not to mention, all noise filters through quite easily to the rest of the room. There was also a flat metal bar/panel about 10cm wide, under the sink (around the middle) at the front, where a person would normally place their feet when using the sink, resulting in constant toe stubbing. Toilet paper was 1 ply!! Toiletries were Mr Smith brand and harsh on the skin. Weak water pressure in the rainfall shower. Sink and shower had dated, separate hot and cold taps, so water temperature took a while to get right. Supposed to be 5 star but nowhere near it. Extremely disappointing."

"The hotel is just very tired. The housekeeping staff do a great job but at the end of the day you can’t make something look clean and new if it’s not. The staff at breakfast are about as warm and inviting as a cold and wet Melbourne winters morning so it was never a good start to the day and whilst chaotic the actual breakfast buffet itself was more than adequate. If you have to spend a couple of nights and it’s close to where you need to be then it’s probably ok but if you are wanting something a bit specialthen this is not the place."

"This is a true 5 star hotel. Service from both the staff at front desk and housekeeping is exceptional. The room we had was a luxe king in the 25th floor and was gorgeous. At night the rooms are so dark you can sleep so well. There is a pool and gym but note that when we stayed for two nights it was during school holiday time so even at 8.30am the pool was packed with families and children. There is an adult time period from 8pm to 10 pm but that doesn’t really work with our plans. The place is gorgeous and extremely worth both the cost and 5 star ranking."

"have stayed here before and enjoyed the rooms, location, leisure facilities etc However, on my last day I was sent a bill for a day at the garage ($70) although I didn’t have a car, the guy at reception suggested I might have had a friend visit or another guest might have the same surname as me - ultimately they reversed the bill without bothering to contact me or offer an apology for clearly a mistake on their part - Check your bill at Crown"
