"Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and always happy to help. Our room exceeded expectations—beautiful, spacious, and even better than the photos. The location was excellent, with most attractions within walking distance, and the view of the Albertina and Vienna State Opera was breathtaking. We had a fantastic stay and would gladly return!"

"My wife and I stayed here for five nights on a leisure visit to Vienna in mid-June. It was a great choice. First, the location is excellent. It's a pleasant stroll of less than 10 minutes to any of the main tourist sights in the centre of the city. If you need public transport, you are also close to Karlsplatz where there are multiple U-Bahn and tram connections. Second, the hotel itself is very nice. It's smart but not formal. The staff are all friendly and welcoming. It's not in an ornate heritage building but it has a nice atmosphere. Third, service was excellent: front door/ luggage, front desk, housekeeping etc. We stayed in a Double Room Deluxe Plus. It's basically a junior suite. Very nicely appointed and perfect if you want a bit of extra space for a longer stay in the city. Our room was on a higher floor (5th or 6th from memory) and looked out over Albertinaplatz. There is a big window seat if you like watching the world outside. The hotel offers a generous discount on the room rate for longer stays, which made the hotel very good value for what it offered. Breakfast was good - lots of choice and good quality. We didn't dine in the hotel restaurant. Our only small gripe was that, while you have tea and coffee making facilities in your room, that does not include a kettle for boiling hot water to make tea. (I assume some kind of fire safety or other regulation). You need to call room service for hot water. To be fair, hot water usually arrived within two minutes. But on a couple of occasions, at busy times of day, we waited much longer. This is the only thing I can find to complain about. But clearly it wasn't enough to detract from our stay, which was definitely a 5* experience. If we were to return to Vienna, we would 100% stay here again. Highly recommended."

"Exceptional location, great space, and absolutely wonderful staff. I arrived very late and was greeted by Valentina. She was so sweet! I called down for water after a long day in a heat wave, and she brought two bottles, plus a croissant - she said it just came out of the oven (it was 6am) and thought I’d enjoy one. It was such a small gesture that really made an impression on me. You’ll appreciate an all-included mini bar with beverages (you’ll need all of them!) and a welcome card that’s hand-written in your language. Rooms were city-size petite, but perfectly stocked, clean, and serviced daily. I will absolutely be back!"

"We stayed in a maisonette suite last month for a week-long stay. This was our first visit to Vienna and the location of the hotel could not be better. We appreciated the close proximity to the centre and were able to easily walk to almost all of the major attractions. The suite itself was good, but not a great fit for us. There were no blackout curtains in the bedroom (contrary to the pictures on the website) and the electronic window shutters didn’t fully close. We didn’t like the transparent glass walls of the shower/bathroom (a design trend we’ve never really understood and again, a different set-up to what is shown on the website). The height of the reading nook made it a bit difficult for us to access, and we found the steep stairs to the upstairs bed to be a bit much for us, too. The cupboard/wardrobe storage was downstairs and quite limited – we wanted to fully unpack for the week but this simply wasn’t possible, and we mostly had to live out of our suitcases. The coffee table books and reading material were all in German which is fair enough given we were in Austria, but this doesn’t really cater for an international clientele. Housekeeping was good. Our suite was very clean and serviced every day. The restaurant was also good. We had room-service breakfast on a few occasions and it was delivered promptly and the food was of high quality. We also enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant, though we didn’t like having to pay E4.50 per person for a ‘cover charge’ that included a bread basket which we didn’t want (or eat). During the day, the restaurant was clearly popular with locals, whom were mostly a young, well-heeled crowd. Indeed, the whole vibe of The Guesthouse seemed best suited for a younger demographic rather than us in the 60+ bracket. There were lots of things to like about this hotel and we could see why it’s popular, but we probably wouldn’t stay here again."
