PB hotel design editorial

Two towers of aluminium-framed curtain wall rise from the IFC complex above Hong Kong's Central MTR station — the shorter housing the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong, the taller César Pelli's Two IFC, whose tapered crown is visible in the images against the harbour sky. The hotel, which opened in 2005 across floors three through forty-five of the mixed-use tower designed by Rocco Yim of Gehry Partners-affiliated practice Rocco Design Architects, holds 399 rooms and suites positioned to command either Victoria Harbour or the Peak's green ridgeline — both visible in the guest room photography here, with floor-to-ceiling glass making the city an unbroken backdrop to interiors where dark-stained walnut panels frame geometric headboard tiles in indigo or taupe. The public spaces are where the property's range becomes most apparent. One bar shown here channels a glasshouse extravagance — arched brass armatures carrying suspended blown-glass globes over a tiered marble back bar, sage-velvet banquettes, and herringbone parquet anchoring a room that draws on Edwardian conservatory precedent reinterpreted for a harbour view. A second, darker lounge leans into deep purple tufted velvet, Mucha-style figurative panels, lacquered wood, and antique-mirrored display cabinetry — closer to a fin-de-siècle Parisian cabinet than anything conventionally Asian, demonstrating the hotel's sustained appetite for theatrical contrast between its crisp tower exterior and richly layered interior life.

"Spent a very relaxing afternoon by the pool with my friends. The service here was excellent, especially Kenneby, who was incredibly warm and friendly. It started raining that day, but he willingly walked out in the rain just to bring us fresh towels. He also took the time to chat with us about our stay, which felt so welcoming and truly made our trip memorable."

"I had a magnificent stay with my family. We had four rooms. Four seasons’ concierge team can anticapye your every need! The concierge Especially Glory Mok, Gladys, James Tse, and Simon Chung knew all my Personal favorites and made sure I got them such as mango gummies, firm pillows and James even made sure to give me egg tarts. They also wrote me post cards welcoming me back and sent us bottles of tea and fabulously presented sweets! Simon even went with me all the way to airport express to personally carry my luggage and check me in! I would like to commend Candy of housekeeping for always remembering to provide me with mango gummies even when I forget to ask! I also had a wonderful lunch twice at Lung King Heen. It is simply the best Chinese restaurant in all of Hong Kong. The dimsum and Peking duck are fantastic. I will stay no where else except Hong Kong."

"Outstanding convenient hotel with exceptionally good service. Four Seasons Hong Kong is as close to perfect as possible for an enjoyable stay in this great city. Location is very convenient for shopping, dining and transit. Service is remarkably good with staff who are friendly, helpful and anticipate every need. Our room had a magnificent view of the famous harbour and the Kowloon skyline. Very well equipped room with every need considered. Toiletries are provided and the soaps, shampoo, conditioner and bath products are all high quality. Housekeeping is impressive. Dining options are great and the hotel has a wonderful buffet breakfast with choices to suit everyone. Michelin starred restaurants aplenty in the hotel. The bars serve creative top quality cocktails and other drinks including mocktails. The spa area has excellent sauna and steam rooms, lockers and toiletries. Our visit to Hong Kong was made even more enjoyable by Four Seasons and hopefully we shall stay here again soon."

"We had an absolutely wonderful experience celebrating our wedding anniversary at Hong Kong Four Seasons Hotel on 13 June 2026. A special shoutout to Ariel Hung at the executive club front desk, who surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade to a suite! The room was spectacular and a very nice harbour view at central district. Plus the hospitality we received from the entire team made our milestone celebration unforgettable. Highly recommend staying here ."
