PB hotel design editorial

Planted on Cotai's reclaimed land between the Venetian and the Four Seasons, the Londoner Macao complex provides an unlikely backdrop for the St. Regis Macao — its Gothic Revival clock tower and glazed iron arrival hall visible in the aerial view, a piece of theatrical Victoriana rising from a territory that did not exist as ground until the Pearl River Delta was filled in the early 2000s. The St. Regis, which opened in 2015 as part of Sands China's integrated resort development, fills a 37-storey tower with 400 rooms and suites, its upper floors visible in the night shot with the brand's signature illuminated crown. Inside, the property navigates between the ceremonial register expected of St. Regis and the particular appetite of its Cotai clientele. Guest rooms carry wave-patterned Axminster carpets in teal and gold, warm walnut wall panels framing upholstered headboards inset with mother-of-pearl mosaic, and brass-detailed millwork throughout — a palette that references Chinese decorative tradition without resorting to literalism. The Astor Bar, the brand's signature drinking room, arrives here as a mahogany-panelled salon with deep green Chesterfield sofas, a coffered ceiling centred on a gilded geometric medallion, and a black-and-white chevron floor anchoring the room's Art Deco ambitions. The rooftop pool, its mosaic floor laid in concentric ripple patterns, frames the glittering outline of the Venetian across the strip.

"My 3 nights stay in this luxurious St Regis Macao is far the best hotel I stayed. The personalized service provided by the butler is remarkable. The room was impeccably clean and smell fresh during my stay. A huge shout out to the following very kind and helpful staff. Vladimir who sent box of cookies to my room for a welcome treat. To John Garcia, the bellman helped me retrieved my phone which I forgot in the room. He also helped me hailed a taxi and gave the address to the driver. You have very professional team. Highly recommended!"

""An exceptional stay at The St. Regis Macao! The hotel is beautifully maintained, and the service was beyond my expectations. We loved the signature butler service with complimentary drinks delivered right to our room. A highlight was the relaxation facilities—the warm-water swimming pool and outdoor jacuzzi were amazing, and the indoor jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room were perfect for unwinding. Special shoutout to Mr. Rio, who went above and beyond by gifting us delicious biscuits from a famous local Macao brand. Great value for luxury—I will definitely be returning!""

"St Regis Macau, is the front runner when it comes to service, commitment to its customers and detailed interactions, the smooth running of such a busy and high end Casino Hotel isn’t an easy task, but the place runs like a Swiss watch. The Happiest of staff we have ever seen across the world, little touches in the beautiful room like coffee delivered to your door by your butler, shirts pressed daily for your evening on the town, little gifts and the generous smile that greats you from every member of staff make it pure magic. Special thanks to everyone from the main Man Douglas, to his tremendous staff like Patrick, and the team of butlers on hand for everything we wanted. Just a seven star ⭐ experience from the minute we arrived to the final minute when our complimentary driver dropped us off at the Chinese border. Thanks to all and see you in a few months. G&M 🏨❤️⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐❤️🏨"

"Great reception service from Mr Douglas and his team esp Xyztl at front desk and housekeeping staff. Had a wonderful surprise with Suite upgrade. Only wish they had the Japanese toilet which Londoner Grand had :-) Breakfast at The Manor was worth the special rate and experience of BeSpoke dining in a relaxed atmosphere."
