"Avoid this hotel if you do not like to choke on smoke. Despite listing as a smoke free property on Marriott website, managment turns a blind eye on smoking at St.Regis Bar and tells me it’s normal. Making matters worse, I wrote two emails to Marriott customer service in August and September yet as of December still have not received satisfactory response. I have stayed at Grand Hyatt and Park Hyatt in Changsha and they both enforce smoking ban. I don’t care about compensation but you should at least have the common decency to remove this false listing description."

"Very nice hotel with nice facilities. Location is very good and convenient. Easy to reach everywhere in Changsha. Room is very spacious and comfortable with stunning views overlooking the city. Would be nice to have more English speaking staff."

"What a beautiful hotel. Stunning, spacious, impressive. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The pool and fitness center were in perfect condition and professional staff. All was well organized and smooth. A special recognition to Chucky and Terry who work in the bar. Both were very proactive, welcoming, passionate and energetic. They were by far the most impressive and professional staff that I discussed with."

"Of the ~10 St Regis I've stayed around the world, St Regis Changsha is by far the most memorable. Its facility is exactly what you'd expect for a 5-star hotel, and its service is superb, thanks to its sweetest and the most capable butlers. I took my grandparents there for their 60th year anniversary, and Anna, Chelsea, and Yana made the perfect arrangement. I knew that they'll make it special for my grandparents as soon as I opened the door and saw the romantic decorations in the living room, bedroom, and even the bathroom. They welcomed my grandparents with wine, chocolate, and a variety of local snacks, and later arranged an in-house sabrage. They made it possible for my 90-year-old grandpa to experience this signature tradition, as he'd be shy to participate in public. At the sabrage, they also brought them a full size anniversary cake, a set of room keys with their names engraved and protective sleeves, as well as anniversary gifts for them. They put a lot of thoughts into details - from the beautifully handwritten cards, to all the photos they helped to take. It was truly perfect execution. If you are coming to Changsha, I would highly recommend Changsha St. Regis. It'd be perfect for all occasions"

"Some people said St. Regis Changsha is the best St. Regis in China. I totally agree. My stay in St. Regis Changsha is more than perfect. Smooth check-in and check-out. Room was on 58th floor. Thanks for the upgrade. The skyline view was stunning. Hotel provides 24hours butler service. Butler contacted me a few days before my arrival and gave me the hotel and local guidelines as well as the latest policy of Hunan province. Upon my arrival, she guided me to the room and explained all the in room amenities. And when I had any request and question during the stay, they responded promptly. The room was clean, spacious. Housekeeping was considerate and great. They can help to set up the bathtub with disposable bath bag every night. This is really awesome to a neat freak. Some hotels will try to skip the turndown service after the first night, but this was not happening in St. Regis Changsha. I and my husband drank quite a lot of water a day, housekeeping noticed that and prepared more bottles to us without my asking. I really appreciate it. Marriott official site had the best package rates than all the OTAs. Breakfast and 70 minutes foot massage for two were inclusive. I couldn’t see any OTA had this offer. I am so happy that this stay is eligible for the bonus points & nights promotion. The swimming pool and gym room are nice too. Breakfast is okay. Choices are enough. All the staffs at this hotel are friendly and passionate. I can feel the service is straight from heart. (it will be more perfect if the doorman smiles more.) If I visit Changsha again, St. Regis is the only choice."
