"WOW. Wayne and Harper. Especially Wayne. He made my stay truly incredible. A forever memory. I will never, ever forget this… wow. Check-in had an initial misunderstanding and I thought I was going to be disappointed, but Wayne, the Director of Rooms swooped in and fixed EVERYTHING. Not only that. He didn’t just make things right. He escalated things into an out of this world. I got upgraded to an incredible suite, the likes of which I’ve never seen. The entire staff knew my name and room number, super attentive and catered to every need, often without asking, doing double or triple or extra. No questions asked. I’m ambassador elite and have been in the Bonvoy system for many years, Starwood before that. Since my corporate days at Nike I would always stay at the W when there was one in the city I was visiting. That means I’ve stayed at this point in 20+ W Hotels all over Asia, Europe, Middle East, South America, and North America… nothing beat this experience. And while I’ve stayed in incredible mega suites before… this one was special. They accommodated my special requests. In 60+ countries I have never experienced what I just did. All thanks to Wayne and just staff, special call out to Harper. Forever in my mind, I’ll be staying there with my people in the future. As a business owner, you are stressed and tired all the time. This rejuvenated me."

"Hotel was amazing to say the least. Location is decent. Check in was smooth. Our family stayed in 3 rooms, one separate and two interconnecting. The separate room was the corner room, so there were many windows providing a lovely view. The couch in every room is long and comfortable and the design is quite nice as well. Each room has lots of complimentary water as well as coffee machine and some sorts of barista cups. The beds are comfortable even the extra bed we got for three people in a room. Charging is decent too. As for the bathroom, the vanity is large and although toilet is blurred, the shower is NOT blurred for single bed rooms! And there is no blurred door to provide privacy! The rest of the shower and room is fine though, no complaints. The breakfast is absolutely amazing. The service is first class. There is a very wide selection of food such as a noodle bar, pastries, whole chicken, lamb, ribs, eggs and so much more. You can also get takeaway bag and boxes if you have to leave. This hotel is excellent!"

"I stayed at W Shanghai from 17–22 November, and I can confidently say it was one of my most memorable experiences anywhere in the world. The true highlight of the stay was the exceptional hospitality and warmth of the W team. The way they anticipate and take care of every guest’s needs is truly outstanding. A special shout-out to Lilly and Ronnie, who made my stay feel incredibly personal and effortless. Their professionalism, energy, and genuine care set a new benchmark for service. The location is fantastic, with absolutely mesmerising views of the iconic Shanghai skyline right from the room. The spa and pool areas are beautifully designed—peaceful, modern, and perfect for unwinding after a long day. Breakfast was another standout. The spread was thoughtfully curated, and the team went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary preferences. Everything I tried was delicious—kudos to the Chef for the consistently scrumptious meals. Overall, W Shanghai exceeded my expectations in every way. From service to design to dining, everything was top-notch. I’m already looking forward to my next stay!"

"I had a really good stay. The room was bright and clean. Hotels staff were super friendly and the services was splendid. Had the pleasure to make a friend with a staff, Ms. Karina.
