PB hotel design editorial

Bogotá's Zona Rosa has long been the city's most self-consciously European quarter, and the red-brick facade of the Sofitel Bogotá Victoria Regia — five storeys of arched windows, burgundy awnings, and a wrought-iron entrance canopy — commits fully to that aspiration. The building carries the feeling of a Haussmann-era Parisian hotel transplanted to the Andes, its warm terracotta masonry and classical proportions sitting in deliberate contrast to the glass towers rising around it on Calle 100. The Colombian and French flags flanking the entrance are not merely decorative; they signal the Accor group's sustained investment in this address as the brand's flagship in the Colombian capital. Inside, the renovated rooms settle into a palette of slate grey, warm taupe, and olive — fabric-panelled headboards with integrated LED strips, wide-plank timber floors, brass dome bedside lamps, and compact circular tables paired with velvet tub chairs in ochre. The bar pulls harder on the drama: navy-lacquered panelling with oval mirrors, a bar front clad in Verde Guatemala marble, herringbone parquet underfoot, and brass rail stools arranged along a white stone counter. Wicker bistro chairs spill onto a glazed terrace at street level, maintaining the Parisian brasserie reference that the building's exterior establishes and that the Basilic restaurant, visible from the entrance lobby, sustains through the ground floor.

Sofitel Bogota Victoria Regia Reviews

"Overall, a great stay at the Sofitel Bogota Victoria Regia. This was my first stay at a Sofitel property and I was impressed. High level of attention to detail and service, which was very nice to see. The location is excellent, just down the block to Zona T, a shopping and entertainment area of Bogota, that felt safe. Also, about a 20 minute walk to the Parque 93 area which is a nice area. Rooms were very comfortable. Bed was fantastic and lots of welcome amenities which was very nice. The gym I felt was ok, but inadequate. I requested information on gyms with a day pass from one concierge and he was unknowing and unhelpful. I approached another concierge, Camilo, who got right on it, and directed me to a great gym closeby (SmartFit) which offered day passes for $10 USD. Another standout was the breakfast. Absolutely delicious with a wide selection and fulfilling of all special requests. A memorable buffet that was among the best I've ever had. Would definitely consider this property in the future an other Sofitel locations."

"This property is located on a side street in a busy neighborhood, so it's just steps from shopping and entertainment. It's an intimate hotel, with a small but comfortable lobby. The entire staff is friendly and eager to please. They remembered our names after our first morning breakfast. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and quiet. Even though our room faced the street, we didn't encounter any noise. Overall a great stay."

"The Sofitel was chosen by our tour operator for safe, interesting location. Our room was very nice, very clean. Special amenities: special relaxing coca tea before bed and three beautiful and tasty Granadilla, a type of passion fruit. As noted by many, the breakfast is outstanding, one of the best we have ever had. Our group had dinner in the restaurant one night and it, too, was excellent. Very friendly staff at all levels, from front desk, concierge, servers, to housekeeping staff."
