"This Hilton hotel was an absolute nightmare. The front desk and housekeeping team were the only saving graces, but even they couldn’t compensate for the rest of the disastrous experience. The building itself is a disgrace, with peeling paint, a constantly breaking air conditioner, and a key card that refused to work. The plants were neglected and dying, adding to the overall decay. The rooftop wait staff was particularly appalling. They frequently claimed not to have change, yet couldn’t charge it to the room, giving off a suspicious vibe. I was overcharged for items, like being billed for three French fry baskets instead of one, and told the system was undercharging. Another time, they completely forgot to process my group’s order, and I had to assist the bartender in finding and entering my drink order into their POS system. The menu prices were inconsistent with the system, leading to further confusion and frustration. At one point, I had to contact corporate to retrieve my change because the staff was utterly unprepared to handle transactions. It’s baffling that a business can’t manage to have change on hand. The security was compromised as well, with an exterior door that didn’t close and latch properly, leaving the hallway floor vulnerable. I wish I could say this hotel lived up to the professional photos online, but it was a far cry from reality. This was by far the worst Hilton hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone."

"Stayed in March location is excellent in the Old City close to the walls and the ocean. Many good restaurants within a 15 minute walk. Breakfast buffet is pretty good - it features a local dish which changed daily for the 5 days we were there. Service from room and wait staff is excellent. When we checked in we were asked to pay for the 5 room nights which was fine. What was odd was that that they chose to bill my credit card in $ without giving me the choice of currency. The exchange rate was less favourable when questioned about it the front desk staff said this was the only way they could do it. I let it go. Two months later I see another charge from the hotel on my credit card for 5 nights. It was reversed same day but because the exchange rate had changed I lost 5%. The hotel says the transaction occurred in March but was posted to my credit card in May. There are at least 2 things wrong with this. Visa/MasterCard rules prohibit merchants from keeping credit card information once the transaction is completed. Merchants are also not allowed to back date transactions which again is what happened here - they put through a charge in May for a transaction in March. Not sure what’s going on but be aware."
