"Our stay at the W Costa Rica completely exceeded every expectation. We came for our anniversary and were met with such genuine warmth, hospitality, and thoughtful surprises from the moment we arrived. Champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and a handwritten welcome note were waiting in our room, and throughout the trip the staff continued to surprise and delight us at every turn. Huge shoutout to Isaac, Dania, Lidia, Lucie, Will, and honestly every single team member we interacted with — everyone made us feel so welcomed and cared for. The level of hospitality here is truly special. We were incredibly lucky to receive an upgrade to the jungle view suite with a plunge pool, and it honestly could not have been more perfect for us. Living in NYC, we always crave somewhere peaceful, quiet, and private where we can fully unwind, and this room was exactly that. The views overlooking the mangroves were breathtaking. We saw families of monkeys hanging in the trees directly in front of our balcony — one even swung down upside down from the roof just to say hello. Between the monkeys, hummingbirds, butterflies, iguanas, coatis, and so many beautiful birds, we barely even needed to leave the balcony to experience the wildlife and nature around us. Another amazing surprise was the complimentary breakfast upgrade. Every morning was an absolutely stunning spread, with some staples and some rotating special offerings each day that made it feel exciting every time. As vegan and vegetarian travelers, we were also so happy to find genuinely great options throughout the resort. Special shoutout to the Wet Deck and Beach Club menus — the buffalo cauliflower, avocado toast, and rice croquettes were 10/10. The beach itself is beautiful, and we highly recommend walking all the way down Playa Conchal and taking the path over to the black sand beach at Brasilito. It was peaceful, gorgeous, and we even spotted more monkeys relaxing on the beach. We also did jet skis one afternoon — although the W’s jet ski vendor was fully booked that day, the team was so kind and helped connect us with a wonderful local vendor right on the beach. They were incredibly friendly and got us set up right away. If you’re looking for them, they were wearing red shirts and had white and green jet skis. The views of the mountains from the water were unreal. Just definitely double up on sunscreen out there! We also booked a private tour through Conchal Fun with our guide Andrei, and it ended up being one of the highlights of the trip. We visited Miravalles Volcano and Llanos de Cortez, and the entire day was breathtaking. Andrei was warm, accommodating, fun, and made the experience feel effortless and personalized. He made extra stops for us, kept the day relaxed and comfortable, and truly made it unforgettable. We cannot wait to come back to the W Costa Rica. This was one of those rare trips that stays with you long after you leave."

"We had an excellent stay at the W Reserva Conchal. The location, staff and amenities were fantastic for a family traveling with a 4 year old. A good mix of elevated luxury along with entertainment for our daughter. The food at all of the restaurants was great- we were very pleased to see light, healthy options (even lots of vegan options. Everything was very flavorful and homemade. The breakfast host team including: Melisa, Maria Jose, Daniela and all of the amazing servers: Lizzy, Lucianne, Angie, Alejandro, Sandro, Gerado, Kevin, Luis and Jason made our 6 day stay memorable. We cannot wait to go back and visit again!"

Great location in a natural reserve with lots of hiking paths. Kids loved the few activities that were organized .
