"Sadly, the food was shocking. The menu limited and lack lustre. Quality absent. To be fair, it was almost inedible. I've never seen such depressing and ungenerous plates. The ploughman's was not traditional and very unattractive. The one vegetarian main option was literally half a bag of lambs lettuce with about half a boiled egg shredded on top, with a mayo dressing. Literally nothing else. The cookie desert was bitter and dry. The pot of tea lacked sufficient tea leaves to brew an acceptable strength. Items were forgotten and undelivered until prompted. Staff were very nice but we were seriously disappointed. At a hotel of this standard I would expect to be blown away not to leave hungry, with unpleasant tastes and disappointed enough not to want to eat there again."

"We recently had the pleasure of staying at Dormy House, and I honestly cannot speak highly enough of the entire experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, the spa is exceptional, and our experience at MO was truly memorable. The food, presentation and whole dining experience were outstanding and undoubtedly one of the highlights of our stay. However, what really set Dormy House apart for us was the staff. Without exception, every member of the team we encountered was warm, friendly, professional and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay special. Whether in the hotel, the spa, the restaurants or simply passing someone in a corridor, the standard of service and hospitality was remarkable. Beautiful hotels and great restaurants are one thing, but it is the people who ultimately create the experience, and Dormy House clearly has an exceptional team. They turned what was already a fantastic stay into a genuinely memorable one. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our visit and will most certainly be returning. A very well deserved five stars."

"Lovely staff (Amy, Anton, The French guy, the older breakfast lady with short blind Hair, but everybody), very good vers with cotton sheets, very thick good towels, very good restaurant, lovely breakfast, the MO restaurant was a star worthy and so special, not far from Broadway the lovely village, the rooms were small but okay, the common areas were all very nicely decorated and the spa is perfect. The thing that we were disappointed of was that there only is a very small garden and just parking around and there is not this feeling of space and grounds as the advertusements presume. No views, no walks on ‘the grounds’ without walking a mile along a public road.This make it a little claustrophobic."

"This is my favourite place to go for a night away to escape life. It's small but so perfectly formed and always peaceful. We went away just for a night for a significant wedding anniversary - we only live half an hour away but Dormy transports you right out the mundane the minute you check in. The delightful and very helpful Taylor showed us around and to our room and surprised us with a room up grade and some chilled champagne. Pre-prandials are expertly and imaginately created in the cosy bar - I had a super cocktail and my husband was able to try some great wine as they use the coravin system so you dont need to buy the whole bottle of something really good. Dinner was deliciously and charmingly served by the wonderful staff. Dining room is really elegant and you are spaced apart from other dinners so you don't have to overhear other people's dinner chat. Our bedroom was very clean, stylish and comfortable and the little outside terrace was perfect - even down to the chair cushions and the visiting robin. Slept like a log! Used the spa the next day - I have used the spa lots of times before and it never fails to deliver - peace, quiet and calm - great sauna/steam/snow machine and as the weather was balmy we enjoyed the outside space and the plunge pool. Can't forget to mention breakfast which was - surprise surprise, ten out of ten. So well done Dormy for providing the perfect shot in the arm. I had been to Soho Farmhouse the day before for a swim and lunch and it was rammed and whilst the offer is totally different there, I was very grateful for the tranquility and wonderful service we had at Dormy during a hot and busy Cotswolds August."
