"We had made a reservation for two connecting comfort rooms. Connecting room is the best thing in this hotel. Front desk showed us to our rooms and there were not connected… We got to wait and new rooms were presented and they were connected. I had email and called that I wanted quiet rooms. They placed us right by the door to the floor and on the first floor. So we hear everyone coming in and leaving. I guess the worst rooms. But we were so tired, we just needed a shower and sleep. Then I notice that our shower gel pump did not work. The bathroom door squeaks really loud. A proof that cleaning staff do not care. Just do what they should do. This should be found by them not the customers. There is a smell from the drain in the bathroom as well. The pump was never changed or they have gotten a bad batch. The hotel has aircon and you can set the temp between 19-23. It is set to 21. We like it cold and turned it down to 19. The fan is very loud and you can’t have it on max when sleeping. We turned the fan up to max when leaving for the day and expected 19 when we came home. But then the cleaning staff has pulled the card and the room was back to 21…We asked for them to never pull it out. But every day it was pulled out. So we started to put the non disturb sign out. We got offered to change rooms. But the hassle of changing rooms is not worth it. I don’t think the cleaning staff would be better there… Breakfast is ok, only buffet, but you can order for example omelettes for extra charge. Nice staff! Dinner….first evening as we were tired we thought to just go to the hotel restaurant. It was just families with small children there and not a nice wibe. We turned around. I asked for recommendations of restaurants. I know that hotels do not give out the best. But this time it was really bad. There are so many good restaurants in Helsinki. Just do your own research. I love Helsinki, but will choose another hotel next time."

"I’m giving 3, instead of 2, because I don’t have another hotel with which I can compare it to (in Helsinki). The location was solid, but not the experience I was hoping for, given the price. The deluxe room was dark, dank, and rather depressing. There weren’t any welcomes, announcements/info, washcloths, etc. The robes felt like old scratchy, dirty towels that were dried out on the floor. I’m not certain as to the age of the hotel, but given the weariness of the carpets, floors, window blinds, etc., it feels as though it’s past its heyday. The room was sparse and I was really cold when I slept (you’re only allowed to program the thermostat within a few degrees), so I had to use additional towels above the duvet. It was passable, but not for the rate charged."

"Stayed 2 nights at the end of June. The bedroom and bathroom were both excellent. We had no view as the room overlooked a central courtyard. No doubt rooms overlooking the street cost extra. The choice of food and drink at breakfast was excellent. The vibe in the breakfast room was really c, especially when it wasn’t too busy. We ate in the restaurant both nights. Food was good and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. If we ever return to Helsinki we will definitely stay here again."

"We stayed at Hotel Lilla Roberts in Helsinki as a family of three for four nights from 6–10 May 2026, and we absolutely loved it. Having stayed at many great hotels around the world, we can honestly say this hotel had everything we were looking for. The location is excellent — very central and convenient, with most of Helsinki’s main sights within easy walking distance. The rooms were spacious, stylish, and well-equipped with everything we needed, and the lobby area had a really nice atmosphere. What stood out the most, though, was the incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, who made us feel welcome from start to finish. We booked the “Lux” room category, and our 12-year-old son was especially happy because the room layout effectively gave him his own separate room. It felt much more like a small two-room suite than we had expected from the description. One small thing to note is that weekend breakfast starts a bit late (from 8:00 am), but even that was handled perfectly by the hotel staff, who kindly prepared a takeaway breakfast bag for us with a selection of items from the buffet. Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money, and we will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Helsinki."
