"Wonderful location Amazing rooms Stunning hotel decor Expensive in ways you don’t expect Service levels don’t support the price. For instance We asked reception for some milk for our morning cuppa. After a short awkward moment - room service was suggested by me as a the option - 5 euro for half a pint. Bar drinks were excellent - but it took ages to get served and we had to keep prompting them to be told - we are doing our best. Niggles/first world problems but at this price it matters. We had a prestige room with sea view and terrace - expensive - you expect more. Let’s see if it improves - probably wont go to the bar now and will ration the milk. PS 9 euro for a coffee and another 9 for a tonic water. No problem if it’s excellent service - it’s not been so far."

At a time when the hotel industry is racing toward automation, self check-in, and staff-free efficiency, the Mondrian Cannes is a welcome reminder of what's possible when you simply don't forget. You leave with a genuine thank you on your lips — and that is no longer something you can take for granted."
