"We really wanted to love this hotel, but unfortunately it fell short. The hut was amazing but the service was so poor we would never stay here again nor would we recommend this hotel. The first evening during dinner service, our waiter just completely disappeared. We sat there for 30 minutes waiting to get a drink and put in our dessert orders, but he was nowhere to be found. No acknowledgement from the staff about the incident either after we were able to flag down a different server. Regardless of the MIA server, dinner service was incredibly slow. Each dinner took about 2 hours. There aren’t many people here, so it did not make sense. Additionally, they made a fuss about a table we wanted to sit at because we were a party of 2 and it was set for a party of 3. We said okay and moved on to a different table, however just a minute later a party of 2 was sat there. We also booked multiple excursions including an ATV tour. We received NO communication about the tour. These tours are not affiliated with the hotel whatsoever. The tour duration was listed as 3 hours and we verified with the concierge ourselves before leaving, however it was realistically 5 hours. It is completely inaccurate on their activities listing. Lastly, if you wish to have late check out, ask when you check in. We were told late check out was fine, so we went about our day and were going to finalize it after our excursion, however when we get back from the excursion the late check out was no longer possible, so they said. You’re telling me someone just booked our room within the 4 hours we were gone? They said it would be fine to finalize the late check out when we returned, which was completely false. This resort is not cheap but the service sure acts like a 3 star hotel."
