PB hotel design editorial

Cascading down a raw Cycladic headland above Parasporos Beach on Paros's southwestern coast, the white cubist volumes of Andronis Minois step toward the Aegean in a formation that echoes the vernacular terraced settlements of the islands without directly copying them. The massing — low, horizontal, disciplined — lets the building dissolve into the surrounding limestone scrub when seen from the water, the aerial view revealing how closely the property tracks the natural contour of the hillside rather than imposing on it. Slatted timber pergolas in warm-toned wood punctuate the rooflines and pool deck, softening the geometry and pulling the eye toward an extraordinarily still reflection pool that anchors the central terrace. Inside, the interiors work a considered tension between Cycladic austerity and mid-century warmth. Polished microcement floors in pale grey run continuously through the rooms, their blankness interrupted by terracotta-upholstered ottomans, navy velvet bench ends with splayed walnut legs, and small pendant lights in burnished copper. Abstract geometric artwork — ochre, navy, and rust on white grounds — echoes the Aegean palette without resorting to the kind of driftwood-and-amphora kitsch that burdens so many Greek island hotels. The outdoor dining terrace, furnished with powder-coated wire chairs and patterned mosaic-top tables, frames unobstructed views across rocky coves toward the open sea, the timber pergola overhead defining the space without enclosing it.

"We absolutely LOVED our time at Andronis Minois. The staff was so sweet, the rooms were amazing as were the views, the food was delicious, and it was a great location on the island! We got a rental car and drove all over, it was lovely. We most certainly will be back!"

"Incredible experience at ANDRONIS MINOIS Paros, Greece. Just returned to the states and already missing this place! From pre arrival to check out, everything was well thought out and beautifully presented or designed. The hotel has a luxurious feeling, well being surrounded by the beach and nature. Everyone there was helpful and made the trip relaxing. Xana was an enormous help by suggesting we rent a car and that really made the trip! The car was delivered to the property and we were able to see the island and go to AntiParos. The shuttle service is so easy and you can relax and take in the sights. This hotel deserves all the praise it has received and more. The coffee and breakfast in the morning is a wonderful pleasure to start the day. I can only say this was an incredible vacation and can highly recommend Paros and this beautiful hotel."

"We were really looking forward to our stay at the Andronis. The resort itself is lovely, and the staff is attentive and very friendly. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we had hoped for, especially given that we redeemed all of our Hilton points for this visit. On the evening of our first night, the hotel lost power. We were told the outage affected the entire island, but that did not appear to be the case. Our family, staying just 15–20 minutes away in Parikia, only experienced a brief interruption. Local restaurants and businesses were operating normally, and even our Airbnb host confirmed that they had no issues with power. Back at the Andronis, however, the outage persisted through the night and into the next morning. The generator repeatedly struggled with the load demand, causing the emergency lights to flicker on and off all night long. As someone who works in backup power, it was clear the system was not able to handle the needs of the property. The result was a restless uncomfortable night with no ac — one guest even joked it felt like a “disco party” because of the constant flickering. By 9:30am the next morning, with no restoration of power in sight and no acknowledgment beyond management insisting the entire island was affected (which was simply untrue), we decided to cut our stay short and move elsewhere. While we understand that unexpected issues can arise, the handling of this situation was disappointing and not what we expected from a resort of this caliber. Sadly, we were only able to enjoy one day of what should have been a much more memorable stay."

"The hotel was definitely clean and immaculate. Our room was great but tight. We had a two bedroom suite with a pool, which was not heated and no option to do so or pay extra to do so, thus we did not use it at all. The views were breathtaking. The service in some cases was great. Housekeeping did a fabulous job daily. In other cases it was disappointing. It seem as the staff was always clustered together and we had to constantly try to get their attention. No service at the pool at all. We were steps away from 3 staff members who never asked if we needed or wanted anything. When we did go up to order drinks or food at the pool they were all standing and going nothing which made no sense to me when there were less than 10 people at the pool and no service. I would expect more from a luxury hotel. In the bar/restaurant area it was DEAD, and no one took our dirty glasses or asked if we needed more drinks, etc. EVIE was a standout in all of our stay and so sweet, but beyond her never bonded or spoke much to anyone, nor did they care to. Great location and cleanliness, but lacking on customer interaction or attention to detail."

"We spent a week at Andronis Minos and could not have asked for a better experience. Even before we arrived, the service was impeccable helping us to coordinate beach club reservations, dinners and car rental with ease. The concierge was truly one of the best I have worked with. She handled every request with ease and warmth. Kostas, the GM, truly runs an exceptional hotel. His presence throughout the property, always checking in and ensuring everything was perfect, set the tone for the entire stay. Our 2 bedroom suite with private pool and ocean views was lovely. The cleanliness and attention to detail in the room and across the property were consistently impressive. What really stood out was the staff. Impeccable from start to finish—attentive, gracious, and genuinely welcoming. Every interaction made us feel cared for, and nothing was ever too much trouble. If you’re looking for a place where service, comfort, and hospitality are truly five-star, Adronis Minois is it. We would return."
