"Overall, a beautiful resort. Cannot fault them for this fact. Service seemed a bit lacking, and being one of the most expensive hotels we've stayed at, we didn't walk away saying "wow that service was incredible." Staff seemed a bit confused at times and as if they didn't know where they needed to be or what was going on, nor did they know their menus at some of the outlets. George and his team at Brasserie by the Bay, however, was a well oiled machine and we had a fabulous dinner upon arrival. Breakfast at Olivera was very very good, with the tray of Greek specialties changing each day, and all delicious. The coffee was very good and the à la carte egg and other dishes were also excellent. The view is also stunning from the restaurant. I would have loved to see sparkling wine at breakfast as other European (and Greek!) and Asian resorts of this caliber offer. That was a big miss for us when you're paying the rate per night that you are and it is a true resort (even the Conrad in Athens had sparkling wine). We also enjoyed sunset cocktails at Three Admirals each night. We inquired about a room upgrade upon check in (I know the hotel was not full when we stayed in early June) and were told we would have to pay, which is fine, but felt like we were the only ones not offered an upgrade. We were there to cap off our wedding anniversary and just overall felt looked over (story of this hotel) in this regard. Our room was very nice, but it would have been amazing to experience a room upgrade and really would have put a different experience on the hotel. Spa and the facilities were excellent. Massages were great and we appreciated the access to the heat experiences each day. Likewise, the gym and the equipment was great. I also took a yoga class with Tiffany (I believe that was her name) and enjoyed it although it was definitely for beginners. Pool and beach areas are nice, but service is extremely slow at times. We had to request a bill 3 times one day, and it never came so we had to walk up to the bar and take care of it ourselves. We were also charged for water after being offered "complimentary water" for the first round and ended up paying €25 for water by the pool without knowing this. There were plenty of loungers every day, however this resort caters to families and there is a lot of children in the pool area and the Tranquility pool was closed all of our stay, which was also a big miss. We enjoyed the provided bikes, but be careful where you take them. We went on a roadway that is within the property and were basically chased by security asking what we were doing there. When we responded that we were simply biking around they said "you can't be here" although there was no signs saying bikes were not allowed nor no entry signs. They then asked "did reception not tell you?" to which we replied in confusion "no". We were then followed by security back to the way we came in. We understand that this was probably due to liability, which is understandable, but the lack of signage, communication, and then the added language barrier of the security guards, we felt like we were being chastised for doing something we thought was okay. We were also asked for our room number by security which we felt like "oh here we go were going to get some type of charge or note about this." During our stay, I cannot begin to count how many times we were asked for our room number again and again, which was extremely annoying, again for this caliber of hotel, you should be remembered or at least looked up in the system based on previous days. A tell tell sign of a crew that is not trained to 5 star. The location in general is beautiful. We drove in from Athens, however, and the main highway/road leading from Athens to Costa Navarino is closed, so we had to take small windy back roads for the last 20-25 minutes of the drive which was not appreciated. Upon checkout I had to talk about a few charges, as a laundry piece should have been included as a Fan of MO and it wasn't. It's simple things like this that weren't caught or taken care of proactively that I cannot give 5 stars. Overall, I am glad we experienced this hotel, but I don't know if it was the beginning of their season but service is just lacking for this flag and caliber of hotel. We would not go out of our way to stay again."

"Beautiful hotel, great food, stunning location and lovely staff. We had a bay view junior suite which had a stunning view and was very well appointed. Breakfast included which was nice. Can’t wait to return and try a pool villa next time."

"This is an exceptionally beautiful property in a rock star location overlooking Navarino bay. Contemporary design with high end finishes and many key staff who are highly trained and friendly. Loved it and would definitely come back. However - service is very patchy notably at breakfast. Slow food and orders are often incomplete or late. Simply to get a coffee top up required one staff member to send another with an iPad. And then wait ten minutes. One day coffee arrived after breakfast was eaten and simply ordering and receiving extra toast took several requests. The manager overseeing the breakfast service seemed more concerned with looking like Andy Garcia in Mama Mia 😁 than actually speeding up service. That notwithstanding this is one of the best hotels in Greece and Europe as a whole."
