"Canaves Epitome was the final stop on our incredible Greece vacation, celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and my 40th birthday, and it was the perfect way to end an already amazing trip. We selected the hotel through our travel agent, and Canaves Epitome truly did not disappoint. We actually knew we were in for something special before we even arrived. Our transportation from the ferry told us that Canaves Epitome was one of the best hotels on the island and that we could look forward to spectacular sunset views each evening. After staying there, we completely understood why! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff with a refreshing welcome drink. After check-in, we were given a personal tour of the property and an overview of the amenities, which immediately made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Then came an unexpected and wonderful surprise: we were given a complimentary upgrade to the Hideaway Pool Suite! When we arrived at our suite, we were blown away. The accommodations were beautiful, private, and incredibly relaxing. To make our anniversary even more special, we were welcomed with wine, a beautiful fruit plate, and sweet treats waiting for us in the room. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a wonderful way to begin our stay. But what really impressed me was that the surprises didn't stop there. I thought the anniversary welcome was the hotel's special touch and that we had experienced all the surprises they had planned. Then, on my birthday, we returned to our room after spending the day on a catamaran tour and discovered that the room had been beautifully decorated a second time, along with another special sweet treat to celebrate my birthday. I was genuinely touched by this. The fact that the team remembered my birthday and took the time to create another special moment for us, days after our arrival, felt incredibly thoughtful and truly above and beyond. It was one of those unexpected gestures that stays with you long after you leave a hotel. We made the most of everything Canaves Epitome had to offer. We loved the complimentary shuttle to Oia, which made exploring the town convenient while allowing us to return to the peaceful atmosphere of the resort. We also thoroughly enjoyed the daily breakfast, which offered a wonderful selection, and we treated ourselves to relaxing massages at the hotel spa. During our stay, we spent much of our time simply enjoying our private pool and suite, exploring Oia, and taking advantage of the resort's amenities. After eight days of traveling around Greece, it was exactly the kind of peaceful, intimate experience we needed. We also booked a catamaran tour through our travel agent, and we especially appreciated the convenience of the tour ending right next to the hotel. It made returning to the resort incredibly easy after a wonderful day on the water. What I loved most about Canaves Epitome was the balance of privacy, luxury, and convenience. It felt intimate and peaceful while still giving us easy access to Oia and the opportunity to experience everything Santorini has to offer. The accommodations, service, amenities, and breathtaking setting made it incredibly easy to relax and enjoy every moment. "Enjoyed a two night stay. Booked a one bedroom pool villa but after check in noticed there was no bedroom. Was advised by the front deck it was a new “open concept” one bedroom. It looked exactly like the suite with pool in the photos. Was shown a one bedroom however the layout was not very nice but the view was a bit better. Stayed in the “open concept”. I would recommend booking the suite with pool instead of the villa. Save yourself some money and get a nicer room. Cocktails in the bars are expensive. €25+ each. Breakfast is good and dinner at Omnia is fine but nothing special. Double check all your reservations. Made a spa appointment for 3 PM but was given a paper at check-in with a 3:30 time. Confirmed with the spa the 3:00 was correct. Same confusion happened with dinner reservations with our confirmation listing one restaurant but the booking was actually at the other. The location is much quieter than the resorts located in Oia. The front desk is diligent on getting you out of the room on time at checkout. They text you the day before and multiple time the day of. Expected a more chill vibe."
