"While our room was nice and comfortable, we overlooked the ripped pillow case, the restaurant was horrific. They attempted to seat over 120 people at a single time. Many had to stand in line for 30 + minutes. Restaurant was under staffed and ill prepared. The à la carte food was not eatable. Difficult to get coffee service and we were encouraged to use the self serve coffee machine, that alone was a 15 minute line. Don’t bother staying at this Marriott property. One bright note was one of the front desk personnel, Anna was great and quite lovely to chat with."

"Beautiful hotel in the heart of Budapest. We stayed here at the conclusion of a river boat cruise we had taken with Uniworld. The Dorothea is a lovely hotel that is accessible to the river, shopping, dining and all sorts of historic locations in Budapest. We arrived early, so while we could check in, the rooms were not yet ready. The staff was fantastic, they took care of getting our luggage to our rooms (from the transfer bus) and we were able to go out and enjoy the city and grab some lunch nearby. The room we had was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom had a very large shower with a rain shower head and a handheld shower head. The hotel had a pool, spa and sauna (dry and steam). I used the sauna and it was very clean, the changing area was well appointed and had private showers as well. I highly recommend this hotel for any one visiting Budapest, whether on business or pleasure. It is comfortable for singles and couples."

"We were given the wonderful opportunity of staying at the Dorothea for a night what a treat. It truly is in prime location, surrounded by great food and entertainment and only metres away from the Danube River. The room we had was a King Superior it was spacious and beautifully appointed. If you choose to treat yourself breakfast it is served in the amazing atrium of the Gordon Ramsay bar and grill restaurant."
