"The Spa is a must !!! We booked the spa for our last day of our trip so we could be relaxed before going back to the real world. This was the greatest idea we have ever had !! The spa was soooo nice and we went a little bit before our appointments to enjoy the bath and the dry sauna and steam room. The service was so nice and everyone was super friendly and willing to help you with anything you needed. We ordered some food to eat by the bath. It was so peaceful and quiet, truly relaxing. Everything was super clean and there was always someone coming around to pick up anything out of place. The location was right in town and was across from the opera house so it was very convenient to get to. I thought the value for what we paid was extremly worth it and i truly think that was the best massage of my life. Diana was my masseuse and she was incredible and the pressure was perfect and she was really communicative with me about pressure and it was amazing. I even told my parents they had to come to the W spa and they booked appointments for this week."

"We had a wonderful stay at the W Budapest. We arrived early in the morning and were pleasantly surprised that they had rooms ready for us, allowing us to check in immediately and get settled with our young children. We booked a Deluxe City View room and a W Suite with Opera House view (thanks to an upgrade award certificate and availability). Both rooms were beautifully designed, modern, and highly functional. The hotel was renovated in 2023, and the quality of the renovation is immediately apparent — stylish decor, excellent lighting, and thoughtful details throughout. Location The hotel’s location is excellent. It’s within easy walking distance to most major Budapest attractions, even with kids and a stroller. We never needed taxis for sightseeing. La Petit Beefbar Restaurant Staff The restaurant staff were outstanding — professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly during both breakfast and dinner service. Breakfast Breakfast was included as part of our FHR (Fine Hotels + Resorts) reservation, and I highly recommend making sure it’s included when you book. The buffet offered a strong selection typical of Marriott’s upscale properties: fresh pastries, breads with local jams and honey, eggs, bacon, beans, hash browns, and more. Since we were on an FHR booking, we could also order items from the à la carte menu at no extra charge. Room Service The room service menu largely mirrors the restaurant’s lunch and dinner offerings, but includes a few extras such as traditional Hungarian goulash and chicken tenders with fries — perfect for kids. Dinner We dined at La Petit Beefbar all three nights and were very impressed. The food was consistently excellent. Standouts included the chicken dish, the smash burger, and especially the steaks on our final evening. As a steakhouse, they delivered high-quality meat cooked perfectly. Note that meal prices are noticeably higher than at nearby local restaurants, but the quality justifies it if you’re looking for a convenient steakhouse experience right at the hotel. Pool, Sauna, Steam Room & Gym The indoor basement pool, sauna, and steam room are well-designed and relaxing. The pool is small and square (not suited for laps), but it’s heated and ideal for a leisurely wade in a beautifully finished space. • Adults can use the facilities from 7am–11pm. • Families with children have access only from 7am–11am to give adults quiet time later in the day. We didn’t use the gym, but it appeared well-equipped. Spa Services I had a 50-minute deep tissue “Performance” massage and was very happy with the therapist’s strong pressure and overall relaxing experience. Having the spa in the basement made it especially convenient for parents traveling with young children — appointments were available throughout the day until 8pm. Overall Staff Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and sharp. The housekeeping team did an excellent job daily and thoughtfully organized our belongings. When we had a minor reservation issue at the start of our stay, but the Director of Rooms (Olivia) resolved it quickly and effectively. The entire team clearly takes pride in delivering a great guest experience. Final Verdict Highly recommended. The W Budapest combines stylish rooms, great food, a convenient location, and excellent service — making it an ideal base for families and couples alike."

"ambassador member but even without that we were treated royally. The go to hotel in Budapest. A hugely impressive conversion of the old ballet school. Right in the doorstep of the metro and opposite the historic Opera House. Rooms are fantastic. Beefbar and Lounge areas are amazing and outside seating in the summer is hugely relaxing. We found the cost of the stay very reasonable for what is an out and out 5 star experience. Staff and team are also amazing especially at the breakfast service."
