PB hotel design editorial

Rajasthan sandstone rises in chhatris, cusped arches, and jharokha balconies across a facade that announces the Fairmont Jaipur as a piece of new-build palace architecture executed with genuine craft ambition rather than superficial pastiche. Opened in 2012 on the Kukas highway north of the city, the property was conceived as a contemporary interpretation of the Rajput-Mughal idiom — the warm honey-coloured stone, the layered skyline of domed pavilions, and the colonnaded terraces all drawn from the vocabulary of the great havelis and forts of the region. The pool courtyard, visible in the exterior image, deploys a long reflecting tank flanked by manicured lawns and timber sun loungers, the stone screen behind it carved with figurative friezes that anchor the water axis to the building's massing in a manner closer to formal Mughal garden planning than resort-hotel convention. Inside, the 245 rooms and suites carry the material language through consistently: dark-stained timber flooring, carved four-poster beds with bobbin-turned posts, arched windows framed in white plasterwork that frame the Aravalli hills beyond. The bar and lounge deepens the palette considerably — navy walls, ebonised beam ceilings, brass-inlaid jali screens, and tiger-print upholstery giving the space an atmosphere of a maharaja's private durbar. The open-air dining terrace, framed by fluted marble columns and horseshoe arches in white marble, looks out across the city's roofscape at dusk, the Aravallis darkening behind it.

"Our stay at the Fairmont Jaipur was far more than just a hotel stay; it was an unforgettable experience. In fact, the service was so spectacularly impeccable that I fear it has forever ruined all other hotels for us. The bar has been set astronomically high. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble, and the warmth we felt from the staff was unparalleled. While the entire team was incredible, several individuals truly elevated our experience: Harjot (Zoya): A standout professional. His personable, kind nature and outstanding attention to detail were remarkable. He effortlessly remembered exactly how we liked our breakfast and our specific hot drink preferences, seamlessly accommodating every request. He made our stay truly delightful. Akaash (Supervisor Zoya): Ever-present, immensely hospitable, and always on hand overlooking each service. Chef Sonu (Executive Sous Chef): It was a wonderful personal touch to have Chef Sonu routinely come out to our table to check on our meals. While several other talented chefs did the same (whose names we sadly cannot recall), Chef Sonu’s consistent warmth truly stood out. Fatema (Zoya): Infinitely attentive, courteous, and incredibly warm. She always had a lovely smile on her face. Annu (Zoya): A delight to encounter every morning, always greeting us with a pleasant attitude. Nanuram (Welcome Greeter): A true testament to dedication. Despite standing in the intense heat all day in full uniform and gloves, he was always smiling and ready with his sun umbrella to welcome us. Himanshu (Gym Trainer): A pleasure to connect with during our workouts. We are sending him our absolute best wishes for his recovery and look forward to seeing him compete once again. Thank you, Fairmont Jaipur, for redefining what luxury hospitality means to us. We look forward to staying with you in the future."

"Well..this was probably the best decision I’ve made in the recent times. We were there to celebrate my mother’s birthday and have booked stay for 2 nights. Right from checkin at reception till exit from their grand doors was nothing but pure luxury and royalty. Ms. Tripti at reception was super courteous, no one else Could have given a better property tour than Mr.Haseen, he was soo soo knowledgeable and hospitable and above all Mr. Madhav from front office team left no stone unturned to make my mother’s special day truly memorable, he was will us all throughout the stay where ever possible. I would lile to extend my heartfelt gratitude towards each and every single person at Fairmont Jaipur for making this trip THE BEST STAY EVER!!"
