Pune's emergence as India's second Silicon Valley gave Conrad Pune a clear brief when it opened in 2017 within the city's Central Business District: deliver a tower-format luxury hotel calibrated to the rhythms of corporate travel while remaining visually coherent with a fast-changing skyline. The 18-floor building, its curtain-wall facade organised into a repeating grid of teal-tinted glass panels framed by warm sandstone-coloured cladding, manages that balance with more composure than most. The massing is deliberately restrained at the crown, where a recessed upper floor creates a terrace level that houses the rooftop bar and dining venue — a gesture visible from ground level that draws the eye upward without theatrical excess. Inside, the 282 rooms carry a palette that draws warmth from dark-stained timber floors, taupe upholstered headboards, and ochre wall finishes, with articulated joinery panels framing the floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over Pune's green canopy. Brass swing-arm reading lamps and layered pendant lighting give the rooms an atmosphere closer to a well-appointed residential apartment than a conventional corporate hotel. The pool terrace, set at podium level, is flanked by rough-textured stacked-stone walls punctuated by water jets — a landscape gesture that introduces a tactile, almost resort-like counterpoint to the tower's smooth glass exterior. The rooftop restaurant, clad in honey-veined marble with bronzed metal shelving and globe pendant chandeliers, confirms that Conrad Pune takes its food and beverage identity as seriously as its room count.
