"I had just moved to Pune and this was my first birthday away from family. After working in the hospitality industry for almost a decade, I know how important it is to make guests feel cared for when they choose to celebrate a special day with you. I recently switched jobs and moved out of hospitality, so I decided to celebrate quietly by myself. I booked a table at your restaurant two days before my birthday. In the reservation message asking for the occasion, I clearly mentioned that it was my birthday and politely asked if there was any possibility of arranging a cake for me. I did not expect anything complimentary and was fully prepared to pay for it. Your team replied saying a 250g cake would be arranged with your compliments. Since this was offered by your side, I naturally assumed it had been noted and taken care of. On the day, I was running 30 minutes late and still made the effort to message and inform you that I would arrive by 7 PM. When I reached, the reservation host confirmed my booking and also acknowledged that I was there to celebrate my birthday. I then sat down, enjoyed my meal, and spent nearly two hours there. No cake arrived. It became increasingly embarrassing for me to ask repeatedly, especially because I never asked for something free in the first place. I paid my bill and left quietly. When I got home, I messaged again to explain what had happened, and all I received was an apology. There are many hotels and restaurants in Pune. I chose your property because it was a brand I had never experienced before, and I wanted to spend my own money to enjoy my birthday in a meaningful way. I came alone because I do not know many people in this city yet. When your team said they would arrange the cake, it genuinely made me feel looked after. That small gesture mattered to me. Unfortunately, by failing to follow through, it spoiled the entire purpose of my visit. I did not raise this while paying because I did not want anyone to assume I was asking because I could not afford it. I absolutely could have paid for it. That was never the issue. The issue is promising something special to a guest on an important day and then not delivering it. This was my first experience with your brand, and sadly it was deeply disappointing. I would not choose to return, nor would I describe this as a good experience. It is time to stand by what you promise and deliver the standards your name represents. Thank you."
