Folded into a densely wooded fold of the Aravalli Hills above Udaipur, where the ancient range drops toward the lake city in a series of rocky ridges, the low-slung pavilion rooflines of Taj Aravalli Resort & Spa emerge from the canopy at dusk like a series of stone kites caught mid-flight. The architecture draws on the vernacular language of Rajasthani havelis — pitched roofs clad in local stone slate, warm sandstone and brick cladding, deep-set timber screens — while keeping the massing deliberately horizontal so that the Aravalli ridgeline remains the dominant presence in every view. Floor-to-ceiling glazing on the villa suites frames those hills as living paintings, the bedroom interiors furnished in warm walnut-toned joinery, louvred cabinetry, brass ring chandeliers, and ochre silk cushions that echo the mineral palette of the landscape just beyond the plunge pools. The two-pool terrace is organised around organic kidney forms set among plumeria and mature native trees, the dining pavilion behind it distinguished by a dramatically cantilevered butterfly roof with white latticed screens — a structural gesture that gives the all-day restaurant its particular quality of filtered light. At the rooftop terrace restaurant, sandstone-clad volumes and dark timber pergolas frame a panorama across terraced gardens toward the distant hills, the table settings in cobalt and burnt orange pulling the last colours of the Rajasthani sky directly into the dining experience.

"We visited the Taj Aravali, Udaipur to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We were there for 3 days and each day was a memorably pleasing one for us. The natural beauty of the property, unmatched hospitality of Taj and helping and caring nature of the employees were the major contributing factors towards making our trip great. The rooms, food, service and the people we interacted with were all exceptional. Just a few names I must mention with gratitude:- Anya at the reservations helpline, Abha from Epicure team, Shriya & Jeel at check in, Lintu got us a cake, Nirusha, Lalit, Ajay, Bina, Shubo and Moti from house keeping, Rekha, Harsh, Amisha, Priyanka and Anshu in the dining Tiri, Chefs Komal and Hariom. Finally the sweet, smiling and efficient person who played the most significant role - the duty manager Sanjana. She took care of us just like our own daughter would have. Thank you. It was a once in a lifetime occasion for us and this entire team lead by dear Sanjana made it memorable beyond words can express."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Stay at Taj Aravali ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful experience at this beautiful 5-star property. The hospitality was truly outstanding, and all the staff members were very helpful, polite, and provided super-fast service 24×7. Special thanks to the arrival team — Vishva Pratap, Kalu Ji, Kamal Ji, and Saniya Ji — for giving such a warm welcome. At the reception, Jeel Bhanushali was very professional and supportive throughout our stay. A big appreciation to Uttam Pandya, the flute artist — he is an incredibly talented performer and truly adds a magical touch to the Taj experience. 🎶 The restaurant team was also excellent — Sunil Sir, Gulshan, Amisha, Harsh, Rajani, and Mohit — all provided attentive service and made our dining experience memorable. 🍽️ And a very special thanks to Sagar Baisoya for his exceptional care and support. "Room & Balcony were not clean during checkin.Carpets in the room are old & dusty.Outside our main door it was very dirty.Restaurants needs refilling fast as it takes a lot of time for refilling something"
