"I visited Taj Lake Palace on my birthday, 23 rd July, with my Family, the experience was amazing. The food and the stay was just fit for the Maharajas . We loved every bit of it. Chef Anup, was amazing Lal Maas and VarkiParatha were out of the world. Captain Amit very knowledgeable & eager to help . All in all best experience"

"It has been a mixed experience. Some within the control of the hotel mgmt and some outside of their control. While no doubt taj lake palace shimmering in the lake pichola waters is an amazing picture, this review is about actually staying there overnight. The rooms and the whole place is very cramped given its location on a real estate constrained tiny island. Of course this is outside of the control of the hotel mgmt so i dont hold it against them but future travelers should be aware and make their choices. What was within hotel mgmt’s control and disappointing was the food. Dinner at Jharokha was utterly disappointing. Some dishes too salty, some dishes too spicy to eat. We had to go back to room and eat some packaged food that we were carrying instead. All in all, its a piece of history, and maybe, just maybe, its ok to invest one nigh here."

It is a spectacular white man-made marvel floating on the beautiful Lake Pichola. ​While the rich history, stunning landscapes, and unreal beauty of the hotel are breathtaking, what makes the experience completely unforgettable is the people of Taj. From the enthusiastic boatman who happily captured our photos to the reception team who greeted us so warmly, the entire staff made our day. ​We chose this property to celebrate my son’s 18th birthday, and the team went above and beyond to make it a milestone to remember. The restaurant staff and managers were exceptionally attentive and ensured every moment was perfect. Within that wonderful team, I want to give a very special mention to Chef Muskan at the Neel Kamal restaurant. She made us feel completely at home and fed us with so much love. "Wow - what an amazing experience! So many highlights during our stay but the most memorable experiences were at the restaurant, Jharoka. A special thanks to Chefs Babu, Muskan, and Anup for creating an amazing culinary journey on the lake. The chaat sampler was simply divine!!! Pramod at the front of house made us feel like royalty and helped cater to all our particular needs. Last but not least, our server Gunwant was particularly exceptional with his friendly personality and apparent photographic memory! He even remembered my daughter’s particular tree nut allergy and made sure everything on the table was safe. Bravo Jharoka! Thank you for the wonderful gastronomic memories!!"
