"I’ll be honest—I was a little skeptical before checking into The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta. I usually stay at the Sari Pan Pacific, so I wasn’t sure whether changing things up for a heritage hotel would live up to my expectations. But I’m glad I did. Staying here felt a little like stepping into a Cinderella story. 📖✨ From the moment you walk in, the beautiful vintage architecture, historic details, and even the staff uniforms make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. There’s so much character throughout the hotel, and it manages to feel nostalgic and elegant without losing that sense of boutique luxury. 🍸 Club Lounge & Happy Hour The Club Lounge was one of the highlights of the stay. The atmosphere during Happy Hour was lovely and very relaxing. The food selection isn’t huge, and I felt a few dishes could use a little more refinement in terms of flavor, but overall, the ambiance and experience more than made up for it. 🏊‍♂️ Pool & 🏋️‍♂️ Gym The pool: I really enjoyed it. The water temperature was just right—refreshing without being uncomfortably cold. The gym: It’s perfectly fine for a basic workout, although there are a few areas that could be improved. There were no sanitizing wipes available when I visited, and I only saw one yoga mat. 🍳 Breakfast Breakfast was another pleasant surprise. I liked the combination of a well-curated buffet and an à la carte menu, so you get a nice variety without the buffet feeling overwhelming. Everything I tried was fresh and well prepared. 💎 A Special Shoutout A special thank you to Vivi at the Front Office. She was incredibly helpful, warm, and genuinely lovely to talk to throughout our stay. It’s people like Vivi who turn a good hotel experience into a memorable one. "Intimate hotel where you will see the same guests more often than not which is rather pleasant A lot of the rooms have adjoining doors more so on the upper floors so if this is a concern you should let hotel know, I didn’t hear any noise though from the adjoining room door or street noise, it’s was very peaceful and quiet Breakfast was decent, executive lounge has very limited snack options but was okay I went outside for dinner on the 2nd night I used the onsite bicycle but please get it fixed by someone, the rear wheel bearing inside are goosed making the rear wheel wobble I pointed this out but I guess it won’t get fixed unless I write about it on here, the breaks squeak and need renewed , these are issues that should be fixed asap you don’t want guests riding a bad bicycle, I did have it for 2 hours and I was okay but please get the rear wheel repaired the internal bearings are gone inside the wheel making the wheel rub against the bikes frame Tv in rooms have no YouTube or Netflix only casting is on them Pool upstairs is good and you can do a little sunbathing for us brits Gym is small but it’s ok I love the hotel and the rooms they are very peaceful and is a nice neighbourhood Lovely hotel and will come back if in Jakarta ,"
