"On the positive side, the hotel is gorgeous. The room was nice and clean and their breakfast is first class. However, i do not expect to be back. Some examples: There was no parking available in the hotel (probably full) and there is no spot to park even for a minute to unload. They directed me (shouting at me from 5-10 yards) away to park at the flea market's parking which is only a few minutes walk but absolutely filthy. I suggest a valet service. We had a quick lunch at the Mediterranean restaurant only to find awful food with even worse service. Who serves a Caesar salad with warm lettuce? when we arrived I asked the the empty eyed waitress to clean our table. she took a napkin from another table, and wiped the crumbs to the floor. No one asked how was the food. I guess, they knew. Loud music played until midnight. People walk the lobby in bathing suits. So while the hotel is beautiful, the service leaves a lot to be desired and the value for money is not good."

"The location is amazing—Jaffa is absolutely beautiful. The hotel itself is also stunning. As soon as you step inside, you immediately feel relaxed, as though you have stepped into another place and another era. That said, we did have a few issues during our stay. First, although the hotel advertises parking, when we arrived the parking lift was not working and there was no valet parking available. We therefore had to find alternative parking and walk quite a distance to the hotel in the heat of the day. When we left, we had to drag our luggage all the way back to the parking area, which was not particularly pleasant in the heat. On our first evening, before leaving for dinner, I asked if our towels could be replaced with clean ones. For some reason, there is no room turndown service, which I would normally expect in a luxury hotel. When we returned from dinner and I wanted to take another shower, the bathroom was exactly as we had left it and we still had no clean towels. I asked someone at reception to send towels to our room. He said he would arrange it, but unfortunately, they never arrived. The pool was another disappointment. We did not come to the hotel specifically to sit by the pool—we wanted to explore and sightsee—but had we wanted to spend time there, it would not have been very relaxing. It was extremely crowded and loud, and we actually decided not even to have a drink there. I do understand, however, that this is not necessarily the hotel's fault, as the pool area is quite small. One morning, I asked if it would be possible to have some watermelon packed for us to take with us, picnic-style. I spoke with room service and another department, but unfortunately nobody was able to simply say, “Of course, we will arrange that for you.” In other five-star hotels, this kind of small gesture—going out of their way to please the guest—is often part of the experience. Having said all of that, there were also many things we absolutely loved. The spa was one of my favourite parts of the hotel. Both of the treatments we had were amazing, and the spa staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. The hotel itself is beautiful and extremely clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff in the breakfast room were also wonderful—friendly, attentive and genuinely nice. The rooftop restaurant had a great atmosphere and good food, and was another highlight of our stay. Overall, we wanted a short break in Israel instead of travelling abroad and getting on a plane, and in that sense, the hotel gave us exactly what we were looking for. Despite the few service issues, I truly loved the experience and the atmosphere of this beautiful hotel. I will definitely be back."
