"There is a beauty and style at Il San pietro that is reminiscent of a style, and grace that one usually reserved for movies and magazines of a bygone time. The stone courtyard, scattered with well spaced seating areas is the gathering point for early evening drinks. Where the lucky guests, surrounded by views of Positano, cliffs and stunning greenery (not to mention the beautifully colorful flora and fauna of the gardens) can sip the tastefully curated, and created selection of cocktails and drinks (and on occasion the feast for the eyes and taste, is joined by some would for the ears by a fantastic 3 piece playing acoustic classics). The spa is excellent, the beach side restaurant; serving a selection of salads (all harvested from the cliff side Potarger, which itself is worth the visit alone), pasta and fresh fish dishes...the chefs' daily pasta special was a particular favourite of ours. The pool area, like each and every part of the hotel, is delightfully maintained in a beautiful stone courtyard at the top of the property, covered in beaugenvillier and dashes of orange and yellow, provides a welcome refuge when the wind and sea are not playing ball. Quite simply, if you can. You should."
