The room was immaculate, extremely clean and beautifully maintained. The location of the hotel is ideal: peaceful yet right in the heart of the charming village of Ortisei. Ortisei is truly a wonderful destination and we will definitely return. The hotel’s position within the village is simply perfect. Breakfast is fantastic and very extensive. The main restaurant serves excellent cuisine of a very high standard. The presence of the Michelin-starred Anna Stuben is a remarkable addition to the overall experience — a true culinary highlight not to be missed. What truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. From reception to bar, from restaurants to housekeeping — everyone makes you feel genuinely welcome and at home. Warm, professional and sincerely friendly service throughout. The spa and restaurant areas have recently been beautifully updated in Alpine style. It would be lovely to see the bar brought into the same design concept, as it differs slightly from the rest of the hotel. That said, the service there is equally warm and attentive. After a day of skiing, a generous snack buffet awaits you upon return — such a thoughtful touch. Ski rental within the hotel is perfectly organised, with an extremely friendly attendant. The driver who takes guests to the gondola in Ortisei is incredibly helpful, even assisting with ski equipment. This is true five-star service. The hotel shuttle runs throughout the entire day without strict time limitations — outstanding and truly distinguishing compared to many other properties. The laundry service deserves special mention: clothes dropped off in the late afternoon were already freshly washed and returned to our room by the time we came back from dinner. We have never experienced such efficiency. Everything you read in the positive reviews is more than accurate. During our stay, we met guests who have been coming here for twenty years, and many who return annually. That speaks volumes about the consistency and quality of this hotel. In short: a genuine five-star-plus experience from beginning to end. This hotel excels in service, warmth and quality. We will absolutely return."

"My wife and I travel often and tend to favor Relais & Châteaux properties. The Gardena Hotel is certainly the very best we’ve experienced. Our Superior room was nicely designed, very comfortable, and impeccably maintained. The overall facilities are excellent, especially the spa, which was a wonderful place to unwind after skiing. Dining at the Gardena Restaurant was consistently outstanding, and we also enjoyed one dinner at the Four Seasons, which offers a more relaxed but equally enjoyable atmosphere. Most impressive of all was the staff. Over the course of our eight-night stay - skiing all but one day - we were met with warmth, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality throughout. It was a terrific trip, and we would happily return."

"We've stayed at the Hotel Gardena Grodnerhof more than we've stayed at any. other hotel over the past 20 years. We love it. There are many reasons that we love it which include the quaint location, amazing customer focus, excellent food and ambience, and the overall warm connection that the staff has to guests. Most fortunately and importantly, my family and I have spent enough time at the hotel to have formed great friendships with the owners and the staff. And, those relationships keep us coming back 3-4 times per year to experience the unique and special Dolomites, the culture and food of Val Gardena, and the warm and exquisite hospitality of this family-run hotel. It is my favorite place to be other than being in my home. That says it all."
