"No question, the hotel itself is very nice, very well designed and we were very happy with our room. The room was 2400 EUR a night, so clearly far above every other hotel in town. But from the first to the last interaction, everything felt like the goal was to make more money instead of providing the service that you would expect. · we booked the room directly through their guest reservation – with a clear indication that our kids are 12 and 10. Room was offered with two rollaway beds. I even asked, if the price includes both beds. But then On arrival, I had to pay an additional 120 EUR per night for the rollaway bed for the 12 year old, so the room was actually over 2500/ night. · They advertise with a free shuttle to the city center. We tried to book it for the first night (for 6.30pm to dinner) but were told, that the shuttle is already booked (has only space for 8 people … for such a big hotel) and that we could get on the 8pm. Would have expected that they maybe drive twice … but instead we had to use a taxi for 40 EUR · We booked a babysitter for two days (since my wife and I had to be at an event). Offered price was 45 EUR (so rather high), but we booked it. When I asked, if the babysitter could take the girls to town, I was told, that this would be an addition 120 EUR/ hour. Are you kidding??? · Parking is 60 EUR/ night. So super high. We were told many times, that they would put fresh water in the car, which never happened. · On arrival, we were told that the team would open a WhatsApp chat so we could directly engage with guest service, but it never happened. · The babysitter complained, that they had to wait over one hour for the food delivered at the pool. · We spend our last morning at the pool – it was pretty empty. So the kids were sitting in the shadow of the cabanas, reading. The server came to us and said they have to leave, or we would be charged with an additional 250 EUR. · And I could go on for longer Long story short. Great hotel for a very high price. But the service is far away from what you would expect for such a place."

"We had a wonderful breakfast experience at Collegio alla Querce yesterday. It was our first visit for my husband and I at this outstanding hotel/establishment and we were taken away by the beauty and setenity of the property. The hotel along with its magnificent and well kept grounds and garden is truly breathtaking. The property is magical, serene and peaceful with spectacular panoramas. The breakfast at La Gamella was divine! The buffet is grand with fresh, well curated and an abundance of offerings of superb and high quality proposals. The presentation and the array of choices is sublime and all delicious. From the beautiful salads, charcuterie, cheese, bread and viennoisseries to the hot plate of your choice, from eggs to pain perdu or pancakes. There is no shortage in delighting any and every palate. We want to thank Ludovica and her fabulous service Team who made our experience amazing. They were highly attentive, prompt in clearing our plates, providing fresh cutlery and providing us with little touches that made the service outstanding! Their attention to the details, their professionalism and the care they took made us feel welcome and special. A big thank you once again to the entire Team from La Gamella who with their pleasant dispositions and passionate manner and dedicated service made our first breakfast experience memorable.
