"I have stayed several times at the fabulous Excelsior Hotel Gallia in Milan. Three years ago I thought that it was fabulous and each subsequent stay has inexplicably only gotten better! After all how is it possible to improve upon greatness? The location across from Milano Centrale train station is perfect for day trips to surrounding cities: Bologna, Verona, Modena, Torino & Genoa to name a few. The complimentary shuttle service to La Scalia makes access to the city painless. The physical hotel and rooms are beautiful and well maintained and the restaurants and bars are superb. The real differentiator however is the staff. From General Manager Mr. Gianrico Esposito, to the wonderful Concierge desk led by Maurizio Busani and most admirably assisted by Edorado and Paolo they handle every single request with efficiency and grace. Beyond these leaders every member of the staff from the front desk associates to the servers at breakfast to the housekeeping staff could not be better trained or more accommodating. In my opinion, the Gallia is not just the finest hotel in Milan but possibly one of the finest hotels that I have stayed in worldwide regardless of the price. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone - try it you will not be disappointed!"

"We had a really nice stay at Excelsior Hotel Gallia Milan. The location is honestly hard to beat—just a 5-minute walk from Milan Centrale. We arrived from Lake Garda with four big suitcases, and it was such a relief not having to travel far. Check-in was smooth, and we were happy that the hotel arranged connected rooms for us, which made the stay much more convenient as a family. The beds were very comfortable too, so we all slept well for our three nights stay. One thing we really appreciated was the complimentary shuttle to and from the Scala Opera House (Duomo area). It was especially useful after a long day of shopping and making the return to the hotel hassle-free. Breakfast had a good variety, and we especially liked the DIY fresh fruit and vegetable juices every morning—it felt like a healthy start to the day. Being so close to the central station also made it super easy for day trips to nearby cities, which is a big plus if you’re planning to explore beyond Milan. Although the room rate was comparatively more expensive than others near Milan Centrale station, it traded off with the location convenience and safety of the hotel. Overall, it’s a very convenient and comfortable hotel, especially for families or anyone traveling with luggage and exploring Milan and beyond."

"Very good hotel and very unusual looking hallways and room doors. The room was very nice and roomy and beds were very comfortable. We had an early morning each day and we missed breakfast each day but the staff gave us to-go bags with coffee and juice in portions so large that we save half of the food for lunch. The Gallia bar staffed by Ivan and Cristina was exceptional and service was top class. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff helped us with getting us a ride to the airport early morning and everything was to perfection."

""Stayed for 2 nights in a circular suite. The location was excellent, a short distance from the central train station. The suite was expansive. The hotel staff and manager were incredibly welcoming. The rooftop bar has good views. The breakfast was very high quality catering to both meat and plant diners. We have rarely enjoyed a hotel stay so much. There was even a free hourly shuttle to the La Scala, Duomo and designer shopping area. While historic on the outside, the hotel is completely modern and sleek within."
