"I have been coming back to the Baglioni Resort Sardegna every year for a weekend getaway. My main draw has always been the stunning beach which remains as beautiful as ever. Unfortunately, during my most recent stay, I noticed a significant decline in the overall service quality. In the past, the hospitality was flawless, but this time, it felt as though the staff was undertrained and unprepared. This year, direct access to the beach through the pond path was unavailable and we were forced to use a shuttle instead. This is certainly a disservice for returning guests who know how easy it used to be to just walk to the beach. I was very pleased to see Paolo and the younger assistant from last year at the beach. They are still very kind and attentive towards guests. It was nice to see a familiar smile or two. The property and its natural surroundings are still magnificent. I sincerely hope management invests in proper staff training before next season, as I would love to return and see the Baglioni restore its usual high standards."

"This hotel is absolutely NOTHING like it’s described on their website or worst on the AmEx FHR program. 1. It’s in the middle of nowhere-you will need to drive at least 1-1.5 hr one way to anywhere you really need or want to go which is really hard especially at night where the roads are not well lighted or marked. 2. The beach is not easily accessible-you need to take a shuttle then walked almost to the end for their beach to their chairs which are assigned based on the class of your room. You absolutely cannot walk to the beach at all. There is also a marsh area in front of the hotel before the beach in the distance that smells and is full of mosquitoes! 3. The staff at the hotel is absolutely horrible and rude. More importantly unhelpful in every way. Don’t take their suggestion on anything- they recommended a restaurant in San Teodoro where the food was overpriced and inedible- when we told the client services person, she just shrugged. 4. The food is just ok. We ate at Gusto, their 1 Michelin star restaurant . It was good but not great especially in comparison to the other 2 Michelin star restaurants in the area that were much better and less expensive with much better views and atmosphere. 5. The pricing. This hotel is expensive and tries to present itself as a luxury hotel. It’s not. The rooms are small and basic so if you stay at anything lower than a garden suite, you will probably be really unhappy. And even will this suite, you don’t get a front row beach chair or one with shade. Bottom line, don’t stay here if you are expecting a luxury hotel on the beach with good service! I wish someone had said any of the above"
