"Pieve Aldina is an exceptional property: a beautifully restored former monastery, tastefully renovated and set in the peaceful Chianti landscape. The spacious rooms, spectacular pool, excellent food and warm hospitality make it a wonderful retreat, including for families. Unfortunately, one incident prevented an entirely positive experience. An expensive dress, recently purchased and still in its original packaging with the receipt, went missing from our room. Despite informing the hotel immediately and exploring all possible explanations, it was never recovered. We discussed the matter with the reception and were hoping for some follow-up from the management team but unfortunately never heard back. This was disappointing given the otherwise excellent level of hospitality. Despite this, Pieve Aldina remains a beautiful and peaceful retreat that we would recommend. Guests may simply wish to take extra precautions with valuable belongings."

"Absolutely stunning little piece of paradise in Chiani hills overlooking Radda. Surrounded by several beautiful hilltop towns. Service levels were impeccable and nothing was too much effort. Pure serenity surrounded by olive, lemon and lime trees give the most tranquil atmosphere and transports you to a million miles away. Rooms are huge, the largest, comfiest of beds. Deco has been really well thought of and everything is considered. (Even the hairdryers are good) Breakfast is lovely in or outdoors, good selection. Pool area whilst small is beautifully in keeping with the surroundings. We also had dinner at the restaurant and the 5 course tasting menu was excellent and actually good value for money at 98euro each. Will definitely stop again."
