"Villa Petriolo is a truly gem. Pictures not do justice. Elegant but keeping the rustic vibe of Tuscany borgo. People are so welcoming and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. Service was top notch. We booked 3 nights but at the end we have extended 1 more night as we didn’t want to leave. It’s so relaxing but at the same time the offer many activities if you don’t want to laze down by the pool. The bedroom was spotless clean, same for all the seating in the common areas and pools. Breakfast was impressive, great choice of local products. Also Golpaja for dinner was really good. "We stayed at Villa Petriolo for two nights after spending a few days in Firenze, and it was the perfect place to slow down, relax, and enjoy Tuscany. During our stay we dined at both Golpaja and PS and also enjoyed the spa. It’s difficult to describe our experience without resorting to clichés. Our stay felt special from the moment we met our friendly driver in Florence, who set the tone for what was to come. We loved our room, the breathtaking surroundings, and the peaceful atmosphere throughout the villa. What impressed us most was how authentic everything felt. The photos simply don’t do the place justice. From the vast vineyards and gardens to the restaurants, the locally produced food and wine, and the spa, everything reflects the character of Villa Petriolo. Even while dining, we found ourselves surrounded by locals rather than a place designed just for tourists. Most of all, we appreciated the people. Everyone we met made us feel genuinely welcome and well looked after. A special thank you to Michele and Lucia at reception, and to Rita at the spa, for their kindness and professionalism. "A SLH and they don’t have any room service past 11pm. You can no even ask for a soft drink and ice! Be aware that with the Summer Heat of italy their AC does not work. Called the front desk and they said they had to reset the AC!! If you think you well get a fresh room when outside is 40C forget it. Unbelievable!!"
