PB hotel design editorial

Framed between a medieval stone arch and a Renaissance palazzo on one of Verona's most intimate cobbled piazzas, a neoclassical townhouse a short walk from the Arena holds Vista Palazzo Verona — a five-floor, thirty-room property whose central ambition is to feel less like a hotel than a privately owned Veronese residence that happens to receive guests. The building's white stucco facade, with its pedimented windows, wrought-iron balconette, and pale stone moldings, fits so naturally into the fabric of Città Antica that it barely announces itself, the gilded lettering above the entrance the only concession to commerce. Inside, the interiors move between two moods across the guestrooms: a warmer scheme built around terracotta-toned geometric leather headboard panels, navy velvet curved sofas with brass-legged side tables, and herringbone parquet floors, and a cooler alternative anchored by large-scale ink-wash landscape paintings, charcoal upholstered beds, and deep crimson accent chairs beside lacquered drinks cabinets. The lobby lounge carries the stronger personality — blush and rust velvet curved seating, mirrored joinery with brass detailing, lacquered side tables in tomato red, and a gold reeded floor lamp that draws a direct line to mid-century Italian furniture design. On the rooftop, a pergola terrace furnished in graphic teal-and-white geometric upholstery frames bell towers and terracotta rooflines across the Veronese skyline — a view the hotel's name promises and entirely delivers.

"DO NOT TRUST THESE SCAMMERS. TERRIBLE SERVICE We felt scammed by this hotel , we booked 2 rooms (suite + deluxe room ), we exchanged emails and did the check in . When we arrived to the hotel and got into the room , the front desk called us telling us that we needed to book another room per our surprise (as they only accommodate 2 people per room) They misled us in the correspondence and doing the check in ! They forced us to book a suite telling us that no other rooms were available , we really felt that they were trying all the time to put their hands in your pocket and maximize their returns . In addition to that , the service is terrible😞, the staff looks like they don't want to work there and they're are unprepared ."

"(call the reception for instructions on how to drive to them through the towns restricted pass roads) Beautiful small hotel. Nice breakfast friendly staff. Nose size rooms with generous welcome treats to nibble. I love the ample super soft bath towels"

"This hotel met or exceeded all of our expectations. We booked the hotel using our American Express privileges, and the Vista Verona made sure that all of the potential benefits were provided. We were allowed an early check-in, so that we could enjoy some time in the city on check-in day. They upgraded us to a fabulous room. In addition, for perhaps the first time ever, we chose a late checkout, and stayed at the hotel until 4 PM on our departure date. Every one of the employees of the hotel went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The front desk was a fountain of excellent recommendations for activities in the city. We were thoroughly pleased with our stay."

"The hotel photographs well, but when you look past the surface, the execution falls short of what you’d expect from an established luxury brand (Four Seasons, Rosewood, etc.). Room - Blackout blinds were too short to fully darken the space. - The bathroom door creaked loudly enough to wake my partner at night. - Details were missing: no dimmable lights, awkward Bluetooth speakers, limited and poorly placed outlets, no in-room tea. - Water from the tub faucet initially ran grey, likely from unflushed pipes. - Towels, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, and even bedding didn’t feel premium. The toilet paper was surprisingly low quality. Service & Facilities - Check-in was disorganized: no acknowledgment when we arrived, as the staff were absorbed with a group. For a small hotel, the process would have been more fitting in a seated lounge rather than cramped at the counter. I was seated and then somebody flagged me down to come to the counter. This set a hilariously bad first impression. - We were asked if we needed late checkout. Initially we declined, but when we changed our mind, we were told it was unavailable - Service felt uneven: while one receptionist was excellent, others (bell staff, housekeeping turnover, male receptionist) seemed undertrained and lacked a genuine service mindset. - Spa facilities weren’t proactively maintained. the steam room was off until we requested it, and the snack station wasn’t properly stocked (no spoons for the dried fruit, etc.). These details matter for a hotel in this tier. This isn’t comparable to the FS, and I wouldn’t even compare it to something like an Aman."

"The Vista is a fabulous, elegant boutique 5 star hotel in prime central location in Verona Old Town. It is probably 3 years old and as a result is very smartly and stylishly appointed. The decor is modern with a fine touch. It is bijou and compact and so does not have vast expansive lounges and dining rooms but rather a more intimate feel. The hotel is brilliantly managed and the culture of client service prevails across all the staff. There is a friendliness and attentiveness that shines from the people at the front door to the cleaning staff, the bar and breakfast waiters. It was noticeable how personal the whole experience was made for the guests. The front desk staff were charming / likeable and always keen and available to help sort Verona trips / restaurants and events. We had exceptional service from Andrea, Anxhela, Massimo and Alessandra on front desk, all of whom were charming. This is a 5 star hotel with 5 star staff that delivers a 5 star experience."
