"Our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi was nothing short of exceptional—truly one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had, and we have been fortunate to stay in many incredible properties around the world. What sets this resort apart is, without question, the service. Every detail was handled with care, but a special mention must go to Ashok from housekeeping. His attention to cleanliness was impeccable, and the thoughtful daily gifts he left for us were such a unique and memorable touch that genuinely elevated our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the dining options across the resort. The Beach Grill was a standout for both its atmosphere and cuisine, while Horizon was the perfect spot for a relaxing drink with stunning views, complemented by varied live entertainment such as singers and DJs. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with the flexibility of both à la carte and buffet options—something we really appreciated. The resort’s location is also incredibly convenient, being very close to the airport, which made transfers quick and easy. Despite this, there was absolutely no noise or disruption, allowing for a completely peaceful stay. We also made use of the tennis court, which was a great addition, and one of the most magical aspects of the experience was being surrounded by wildlife. Seeing hornbill birds and monkeys in such a natural setting felt surreal. We particularly loved spending time at the Horizon Pool, the adults-only area, which was serene and beautifully maintained. The service there was excellent, with food and drinks delivered directly to our sunbeds, and thoughtful touches like SPF, chilled water, and poolside snacks showed that every detail had been carefully considered. The beach wasn’t the best as there were some bits of rubbish floating in the tide (not the hotels fault) and the sand wasn’t the softest, but this did not affect our overall stay. From start to finish, everything about our stay was seamless and unforgettable."

"Our trip to Malaysia, and especially our stay at the Ritz-Carlton Langkawi, was without a doubt the best vacation we have ever experienced. We have traveled extensively and enjoyed many premium holidays around the world—but this one truly surpassed them all. From the moment we arrived, everything was simply perfect. The setting, nestled between lush rainforest and the Andaman Sea, created an atmosphere of pure tranquility and luxury. One of the absolute highlights was a magical candlelight dinner on the beach. The entire experience was unforgettable—beautifully arranged, intimate, and flawlessly executed. A special thank you goes to Yan, whose attentive and warm service made the evening even more special, and to Chef Fuiz, who completely enchanted us with his culinary creations. It was perfection in every sense. We also spent wonderful evenings at the Horizon Bar, where Julien provided outstanding service. His professionalism, charm, and attention to detail truly elevated our experience. However, what made our stay truly exceptional was the incredible staff. Katgar, who took care of our room, stood out the most. He prepared everything perfectly every single day and always greeted us with a genuine smile. His kindness and positive energy made him a true ray of sunshine and left a lasting impression on us. We enjoyed every single moment of our stay and will cherish these memories forever. "We are frequent travelers, especially to beach resorts, and this one was especially lovely! We would love to go back and know we would be greeted warmly and likely remembered because of how great the staff is! I am a titanium elite and was given a great room upgrade and a list of other perks as well. Some of the highlights: - the personalized exceptional service. Our butler, Sara, was amazing and went so far above and beyond to make our trip special and help us celebrate our wedding anniversary. She was absolutely lovely and so thoughtful. - hotel grounds were immaculate and the rooms are fabulous. Get a pool villa if you can! - all hotel staff, from the breakfast workers, the beach staff, the bar staff, the drivers to and from the airport, and our housekeeper Anton made us feel welcomed, special, and remembered. - breakfast was delicious and the free flow sparkling wine was a wonderful touch. - there was a marine biologist who was passionate and excited to talk to you about the wildlife, even letting me hold a sea cucumber. That was a really nice touch. He was happy to realistically inform us about the daily jellyfish risk, which was very much appreciated. The negatives/warnings: - there are a lot of mosquitos. If you’re a mosquito magnet like I am, be warned. The hotel 100% gives you mosquito spray so not a ding on them. Just be more proactive about using it than I was. - it rains a fair amount in Langkawi. Just factor that into your plans."

"Celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary at Ritz‑Carlton Langkawi, on my 10th visit, truly felt like coming home. This resort never fails to impress — from leadership visible on the ground to the smallest thoughtful gestures (Thanks Amirul, Bella and Pak Long a.k.a Rahim!). GM Mafalda Tavares has brought noticeable improvements: Faster buggy turnaround, elevated food quality at Langkawi Kitchen under Chef Okan's steer, and a team spirit that radiates everywhere. The Rainforest villa in which my room was upgraded, remains a sanctuary — spacious, serene, with a bathtub overlooking greenery, private pool, and outdoor wooden deck for pure relaxation. Compared to The Datai, I find Ritz more accessible and seamless. Dining highlights include Beach Grill, my favorite for dinner, with fresh catch, ribeye, and coolers that feel like a perfect symphony. Horizon Bar is unmatched for sunsets, cocktails, and shisha. Hai‑Yan offers a floating dining experience with dim sum and crispy bean curd amongst the favourite, while the spa facial followed by jacuzzi and sauna was a treat - thanks Mieza, Lola and Ayu (sorry if i didn't recall your name correctly!). The infinity pools deserve special mention — the adults‑only pool at Horizon is a tranquil escape with sweeping views, while the family pool near Beach Grill is spacious and lively, perfect for unwinding together. Surrounded by nature, the resort feels like a dream: hornbills gliding overhead, dusky monkeys and squirrels darting through the trees, and the chorus of crickets at night reminding you that you’re living in a tropical paradise. What makes Ritz‑Carlton Langkawi extraordinary is its people. Special thanks to the leadership team — Harris, Ramy Khamis, Paul, Sudhir, and Chef Okan — for being present with their crew. Utmost appreciation to Amirul and Bella, from FO for surprises and thoughtful touches, from room decorations to Raya treats that made us feel at home.
