"We’ve just spent 14 days on this beautiful, peaceful island and loved every minute of it! Upon arrival we were greeted by our villa host Kamilla who showed us around and checked us into our suite and shared her number for us to reach out to. We figured we would just get in touch with her at some point in case we needed anything but Kamilla far exceeded our expectations of a host. She proactively shared activity schedules and menus, making suggestions to what we could do and checked in with us personally at every breakfast and dinner. She was always excited for our recounting of the day and shared interested stories of her island life also. Kamilla went out of her way to be helpful and assisted promptly whenever we needed her. She arranged our special requests with a smile and was always available to us, even wishing us a lovely day on her day off. She is an absolute gem and we loved how she took care of everything so we didn’t have to. On our birthdays Kamilla surprised us with a gift and the most beautiful written card, something we truly did not expect and very much appreciated. Como Maalifushi is a lovely, perfectly-sized island and every guest has their own bike to get around, which is great fun! The villas are beautiful with a very elegant feel to them. We stayed in an overwater suite and were able to move into 410 after a few days as it offers the most beautiful, uninterrupted sunset views. Thank you for making that room move possible! The suites are quiet and there is a nice distance to the next room so it feels as if you’re alone on the island. We booked the all inclusive package and did not regret it! So many different activities are already included and we had a great time trying everything, from turtle snorkeling to bottom reef fishing. Occupancy was rather low so we were lucky to experience most activities privately. On each activity on the boat, the crew takes such good care in organizing everything, making sure there’s drinks, towels and your masks are ready to use. Thank you Elaine, Mode and Nasif for making these trips unforgettable, along with everyone else in the boats whose name we did not get. The spa was another highlight of our vacation, the included Como Shambhala massage is like heaven on earth and every other massage we had was just as perfect. You never want to leave that treatment room! Thanks to Nikky, Engi, Vetris and T.P. for making us feel even more relaxed! Last but not least, the food was amazing. Starting with breakfast in the morning which featured a small but high quality buffet with an added á la carte menu to order from. We absolutely loved that buffets weren’t oversized but instead focused on quality and creativity. Every dish was great and the atmosphere was so lovely - the ideal way to start the day! Lunch at Thila was just as nice, with recurring special themes and a great menu selection. For dinner you could choose between Madi and Tai which both offered á la carte menus. Tai had amazing Japanese cuisine and great sushi. We loved the overwater setting of it. Madi offered different recurring special nights with lobster & champagne standing out - the menu was superb! Food in all outlets was amazing with chefs making every little adjustment you might need. I am celiac so require gluten free food, which was never a problem and I never once got glutened. Menus highlight which dishes are gf, but they can adapt so many more dishes - just ask! We are quite picky eaters and come from an F&B background so good food is important to us - we were not disappointed here at all! You can definitively tell that staff is well trained at this property. Overall, we loved our stay here and would highly recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a peaceful and serene atmosphere where truly every single employee is incredibly friendly and welcoming. We also want to mention Rini, Bakko, Veena, Jeevan and Ajith and thank them for their great service and kindness. Also thank you Ahmet for providing a special insight into the back of house operations! But a special thank you to everyone who we never even got to see, like our villa attendant who kept the room spotless, everyone who cleaned and raked the sandy pathways, all engineers making sure everything runs smoothly, the staff in laundry, all gardeners and anyone else behind the scenes! And of course anyone else who we met and forgot their names. Truly anyone we came in contact with was so lovely! Thank you for a perfect stay and for making our birthdays extra special!"
