"Our daughter-in-law Angela, reviewed our holiday at Emerald Resort & Spa, Fashmendhoo a couple of days ago entitled "Simply Outstanding". We agree whole heartedly with all that she wrote. Our two weeks holiday was truly wonderful and way beyond our expectations. You will have gathered that my husband and I are the grand parents of the family Angela mentioned. This most definitely did not hold us back! There is so much to recommend to all ages. The management team and staff are exceptional; genuinely friendly, kind, polite, eager to help and more. We are sorry we do not have many of 'team' Emerald's names; those who smiled, waved, answered questions, to all those who work behind the scenes and who contribute in so many ways to the smooth running of this very successful island hotel. MANAGEMENT Jude and KD - you were amazingly attentive Avinash - Director of Engineering - Heart of House tour Given the constraints of being on an island your self-sufficiency and attention to sustainability are remarkable, including desalination of water, generation of electricity, waste disposal and growing herbs/vegetables for the restaurants. You leave as small a footprint as practicalities allow. VILLA HOST - Invaluable Shafi - we appreciated your good humour and your immediate response to our queries so willingly. WATER VILLA 332 - Stunning Thank you for looking after us so well Shaadji (11 days), Ahmed (the last 4 days), Azmee (mini bar and snacks) RECEPTION STAFF - Polite, knowledgeable and efficient Within 10 minutes of requesting a smaller bike it arrived at Reception! CHEFS - What a treat to have endlessly imaginative and delicious meals, and so many varied vegetarian options. Alok - a passion for food which was exhilarating Siyad - I so appreciated the vegetarian lentil dish you cooked for me and making sure I was aware of all the choices. Monu, Vikram and Dipak who cooked a fantastic Sri-Lankan lunch organised by Alok. RESTAURANT STAFF - Your patience and attention are a credit to you Samah, Naveen, Sam, Siri, Areej, Eyman, Azis SOMMELIERS - Ever attentive with welcome suggestions to accompany the appetising meals. David, Rai, Chris BARS - And the star of the cocktail menu, Maracuja Crush! Ahmed (Ahmed's Bar) thank you for offering ice water flannels, sun cream and a sunglass cleaning service too! Nash, Ansh, Alim, Chetan, Pawan GROUND MAINTENANCE The friendly gardeners who do an excellent job looking after the island's flora and fauna, and one in particular by the shops who pointed out that my skirt was in danger of being caught in my bike wheel. SPA - a peaceful, quiet and cool place Natalia - I highly recommend the 'tension release' and 'hot stones' massages. DIVE CENTRE Andrei - the basic snorkelling lesson gave us more confidence And would we return to this paradise island - in a nano second! Everything was perfect The stunning villa ,the beautiful surroundings, the exceptional food and the incredible all-inclusive package which offered so much variety and quality. Every day felt special. The people truly made our holiday unforgettable. A heartfelt thank you to Sid our personal butler who went above and beyond for us every single day. Nothing was ever too much trouble and his kindness , attention to detail and genuine care made us feel completely at home. He played such a big part in making this trip so memorable. We'd also like to thank Andrei from the dive centre. His professionalism, patience and passion for diving and cruises made incredible experiences . "Our stay at Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa was absolutely amazing and the best holiday of our lives! We received a wonderful welcome from the very first minute, which made us feel so special. A huge highlight was our last day, when they served an incredible, private breakfast right in our villa. Every restaurant had great food, and the island views were beautiful.A special thank you goes to Sid! Who helped us with everything from day one! We were completely satisfied with him. He was super kind, always available, and did even more for us than we expected. I can only highly recommend Sid! "The stay at Emerald Maldives was truly a perfect vacation. From the moment we arrived, after many hours of traveling, it was impossible not to smile and immediately feel re-energized. The staff welcomed us like royalty, with genuine smiles and such positive energy. We stayed in an Overwater Pool Villa, and I honestly couldn't have wished for anything better. The villa was spacious, with a huge bathroom, a beautiful private pool, and direct access to the crystal-clear lagoon, where we could see colorful fish swimming just a few steps away. The island itself is stunning, and all the hotel facilities—including the restaurants, gym, and water sports center—were excellent. Everything was beautifully designed, tastefully decorated, and impeccably maintained. The food and drinks were of exceptional quality. The sommeliers in every restaurant were outstanding, demonstrating impressive knowledge and recommending excellent wines, all included in the all-inclusive package. During our stay, we were lucky enough to see dolphins, countless colorful fish around the resort, three small reef sharks near the beach, and even two graceful rays swimming together. A special thank you goes to our host, Shafi, who was always available, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed. We would also like to thank Pawar from the Sunset Bar, who served us delicious drinks every day on the beach and every evening at the bar, always with a sincere smile. One day I asked him if he was tired or struggling with the heat, and he simply replied that no, “I work in Paradise.” That answer perfectly reflects the spirit of Emerald Maldives and its incredible team. Thank you to everyone who made our holiday so memorable. We left with unforgettable memories and hope to return one day."
