"We had an amazing family vacation at Six Senses Kanuhura! This was my 10th visit to the Maldives and our first to Kanuhura and we loved everyday we spent on the beautiful island. Our highlights were the amazing food we had (especially dinners at each of the different dining options), the incredible staff we got to interact with, the marine life we saw (on our trips) and the small little touches left in our room every night that we would look forward to coming back and seeing. What really made our stay so memorable was the staff! Everyone at the F&B team (Nelly, Hosham, Sami, Diba, Ann, and many more) were absolutely fantastic and made sure we were well taken care off. A big shout out goes to Chef Kevin, a real true gem! Chef Kevin is incredibly generous, humble and was so thoughtful and attentive during our stay (thank you for the Thai balm to help with our mosquito bites!) Our GEM Laia was sweet, helpful and made sure all our requests were taken care of. A big thank you as well to the team at the kids club (Lala, Mas, and Rana) who made sure our kids were always well taken care of! The dive team as well were so great and we loved every excursion we went on. It was also so lovely to see the resort manager Patrick on a daily basis, speaking to guests and helping around the island. It speaks volumes when leadership is visibly present and ensures that all their guests are enjoying their stay. We really enjoyed all our conversations with Patrick, Abdullah, and Ravi! The island fully represents exactly what six senses is all about. Preserving nature, reconnecting with the beautiful Maldivian environment, and health & wellness. You see and feel that in almost every point across the island. The only area that felt a bit off to us was The Point. Seeing grey concrete walls in the interior and exterior was something we were trying to run away from our city lives and just felt like an eye sore (however food there for both lunch and dinner was fantastic!). The spa experience was very relaxing however the relaxation area was underwhelming. An additional suggestion here is to offer a welcome drink/cold towel upon arrival to the spa to add to the overall experience. Our only major concern during our stay was the mosquitos. We were bitten daily :( and although the resort fogs the island and provides repellent to use, we were still left with multiple bites a day (could potentially be due to the rainy season as well). Overall, we had an amazing stay, built long lasting memories as a family, and will cherish all our special interactions with the Kanuhura family!"

"Six Senses Kanuhura is undoubtedly beautiful, but I have travelled widely and never come across such a special place or such extraordinary people. It is the team who make it truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived to find the staff lined up to welcome us until our final goodbye, we were treated with such genuine warmth and care. The service never felt formal or scripted. Every interaction felt personal, thoughtful and sincere. Zaha was exceptional. Warm, bubbly and wonderfully capable, her approach was always, “Let’s make it work.” She anticipated what we needed, made everything feel effortless and brought so much happiness to our stay. James and Athif had a remarkable impact on our boys. Through the marine biology programme, they made conservation exciting, accessible and meaningful. The boys are still talking about the seabirds, turtles and coral gardens, snorkelling with sharks and turtles, and watching sharks from the jetty at night. Seeing them so inspired and engaged was incredibly special. The Six Senses philosophy around food made every meal a delight. Everything was made from scratch, sourced sustainably and prepared with so much care and thought. The food was consistently fresh, beautiful and delicious. Ann and Kevin looked after us wonderfully in the restaurants, while Akki was always so warm and delightful. Una cared for our beautiful villa impeccably and made it such a welcoming place to return to each day. The lovely lady at the ice cream shop also brought our boys enormous happiness as they enthusiastically worked their way through multiple ice creams each day! My sister and I enjoyed the aerial yoga, which was a memorable experience and a lovely opportunity to do something together. Alicia, the General Manager, was consistently present around the resort, warmly greeting guests and checking that everyone was happy and well cared for. Her genuine warmth and approachability clearly set the tone for the entire team. This was far more than a stay on a beautiful Maldivian island. We felt genuinely welcomed, known and cared for by an exceptional group of people who take enormous pride in what they do. We returned home with precious family memories and a deep appreciation for everyone who made our holiday so magical. The entire team should feel incredibly proud of what they have created. We would return in a heartbeat"

"We spent two wonderful weeks at Six Senses Kanuhura in August as a family and truly enjoyed our stay. A big thank you to the entire team for taking such great care of us throughout our holiday. The service was warm, attentive and personal, and we felt very well looked after. We initially stayed in a Deluxe Villa Suite with Pool. We particularly liked the spacious outdoor area and the excellent amount of wardrobe space. The bedroom itself felt somewhat on the smaller side for a family, although we really appreciate that Six Senses offers this villa category for families with up to two children, which gives families considerably more choice. During our stay, we asked about upgrading and moved to a Beach Retreat with Pool, which we absolutely loved. The difference in space was fantastic for our family: a large living room, beautiful master bedroom and an additional sleeping area on the gallery where our children stayed. The outdoor space was equally impressive, with a huge private pool, hammock and generous terrace area. It was a wonderful villa for a longer family stay and became one of the highlights of our holiday. The beach is absolutely beautiful and particularly great with children. The sand is extremely fine and soft, and entering the sea is very easy, with no need for swimming shoes. This made spontaneous swimming with the kids particularly enjoyable. We also loved simply walking around the island and watching the marine life close to shore. In the afternoons, baby sharks and stingrays would often come very close to the beach, and it was fascinating to watch them while walking along the water. These little encounters with nature were a very special part of the Kanuhura experience, especially for the children. We really enjoyed the barefoot-island concept as well. Combined with getting around by bicycle, it created a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. For two weeks, we basically didn’t have to think about slippers or shoes at all—just walk barefoot out of the villa, get on the bikes and go. It sounds like a small detail, but it contributed a lot to the feeling of being completely on holiday. We stayed on full board and were very happy with the breakfast and dinner offerings, both in terms of quality and variety between the different restaurants. The individual restaurant menus do not change much from day to day, but with the choice of restaurants there was still plenty to enjoy. Lunch was the one area where we felt there could be some improvement. During the first week, the choice felt somewhat limited. Once The Point was open during our second week, however, we enjoyed having a much greater variety of dishes and lunch options. We would also suggest expanding the children’s menu, particularly by offering more variety between lunch and dinner and between the different restaurants. The current children’s menu is relatively small and quite similar across the resort. For a two-week family stay, a little more variation would make a real difference. The spa was excellent. We tried several different massages and treatments during our stay and found the whole experience extremely relaxing. We also really enjoyed the activities and experiences available. We went snorkelling on the house reef, and the team was fantastic—enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very engaged. Our nurse shark snorkelling excursion was another highlight and a truly fascinating experience for the whole family. Overall, we had a fantastic two weeks at Six Senses Kanuhura. It is a beautiful resort with wonderful beaches and villas, excellent service, great food and plenty to experience as a family. Most importantly, the team made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Thank you to everyone at Kanuhura for making our family holiday so special. We would very happily return."

"Six Senses Kanuhura completely blew us away. The island is beautiful, the accommodation luxurious and the food delicious. But it is the warmth of the staff that really makes it stand out. From the initial welcome to the farewell on the jetty, they make you feel special. Our villa was utterly delightful with wonderful sea views. It also had absolutely everything we could possibly have forgotten. The snorkelling was amazing but it will be the care taken by the staff (and in particular the very wonderful Zaha, James and Artef) that I will particularly remember.
