Where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, a low-slung spread of white stucco volumes steps down toward a rocky shoreline in a massing that deliberately refuses resort monumentality. Four Seasons Resort and Residences Los Cabos at Cabo Del Sol, which opened in 2019 within the established Cabo Del Sol master-planned community, was conceived as a loose village of connected pavilions rather than a single dominant structure — the buildings never rising more than four storeys, their flat and gently pitched rooflines dissolving into the Sierra de la Laguna foothills behind. The 96-room and suite property was designed with interiors by the Mexico City studio LEGORRETA, working in the tradition of Luis Barragán's chromatic regionalism, though expressed here in a considerably more restrained register of sand, cream, and terracotta. The guest rooms divide into two distinct interior moods visible in the images: a quieter, almost Californian language of exposed timber ceiling beams, pale limestone floors, and ombré teal drapery in the ocean-facing suites, and a warmer, more declaratively Mexican palette in the standard rooms — carved wooden four-poster beds, sisal rugs, gallery walls dense with folk-inflected artwork, and terracotta pendant lights with bobbin-turned clay forms. Outdoors, the elongated infinity pool is framed by date palms whose reflections double the sky at midday, while the restaurant terrace at dusk deploys woven palapa canopies, director-style teak chairs, and embedded lantern lighting against a surround of bougainvillea and local stone coping.

"Enjoyed the Christmas holiday at the Four Seasons Cabo Del Sol. We stayed in a Casita with a plunge pool . Will go over the good and can be improved for the resort: The good: 1. Service - was very good in all aspects of the resort - pool side (need to get used to pressing the button), concierge, front desk, adventures, beach, restaurants, room service, maid service - all exceptional and friendly. 2. Spa and workout facilities were to my sons liking. 3. Room was very good - use of space was good. All the little touches and amenities were there to make it a great experience. Our room had the plunge pool above the cabanas which created privacy - many rooms had the plunge pool on a walk path - would not have liked that. One downside - if someone entered the first door to the room (there were 2) they could easily see into the outdoor shower through large gaps in the door and the wall. 4. Cayao restaurant - food was amazing! We ate there twice and there were still things on the menu we wanted to try. The hamachi appetizer and the rice with short rib were 2 of the favorites. 5. Excursions - we did snorkeling, atv, surfing, paddle board, jet skis, kayak - all easy to arrange and manage. The can be improved: 1. Mentioned outdoor shower above - make it more private. 2. Palmerio - this restaurant was good - not great by any means. If the pasta was fresh, something in the presentation covered it up. I had the penne on "pasta night" as an example - alot of the pasta was stuck together. Overall - nothing here was bad - but certainly not memorable. 3. Cabana - we rented one on Christmas - was nice to have shade. Would not recommend - TV did not work in first one - fan broke in second one. The fruit offered in the package for the most part was not ripe. The views from the cabanas are not very good. Overall - not worth the price. Overall - for me - still 5 stars. Great experience!"

"The Four Seasons Cabo Del Sol is a truly magnificent property—one that blends the privacy of a secluded retreat with the warmth and energy of a family-friendly resort. The small, thoughtful touches throughout the grounds create an experience that feels both elevated and intimate. The rooms are exceptional. After stepping through the exterior entry door, you’re welcomed into a lush private garden that immediately sets the tone for relaxation. To one side, a beautifully designed outdoor shower adds a spa-like feel, while the garden pathway connects seamlessly to the plunge pool—an ideal spot to unwind in total seclusion. Inside, the accommodations continue to impress. The rooms are generously sized and impeccably finished, and—as expected—the signature Four Seasons bed is second to none. From comfort to layout to amenities, everything is designed to enhance your stay without intrusion. Overall, Four Seasons Cabo Del Sol delivers an extraordinary blend of luxury, comfort, and privacy. It’s the kind of place where every detail works together to create a stay you won’t soon forget. Highly recommend."

"We stayed here with our kids the week leading up to Christmas. We had never been to Cabo and were very excited for the experience. While the resort is new and beautiful we felt it was somewhat boring and lacking fun activities for families. There is no town nearby so you are essentially stuck at the resort and have to eat every meal at the hotel. The family pool was nice but not amazing and the beach was not swimmable. We booked horseback riding and snorkeling through the hotel. The horseback riding was enjoyable and the sunset was beautiful. The snorkeling was uneventful and the water was cold. We had to wear full body wetsuits and only saw a handful of fish. All of the meals were ridiculously overpriced. $200 for breakfast for a family of four and dinner was at minimum $300 wherever we ate. We were even charged for tap water! We ended up leaving a day early we were so bored with sitting around the pool with nothing to do. Our kids actually asked to go home, which has never happened on a vacation. We’ve stayed at the Four Seasons in Punta Mita and definitely prefer that location since the water is better and there is a lovely town nearby. We wouldn’t come back here."

"We had a lovely one-week stay here to celebrate my husband's birthday. The two-bedroom villa was spacious and beautiful and we particularly enjoyed the attached pool/hot tub. Service overall was very attentive. We spent most of our time at the adult-only pool, and staff came by frequently to ask if we needed anything and to pass out little amenities like shot of smoothies and mini paletas. We ate at all the restaurants, and thought both service and food were terrific, one of the best we've experienced at a Four Seasons property. The stay was not without a few hiccups, but overall we highly recommend it as long as you're ok with the prices. (Only caveat is not to expect anything from the butler service) A few good and not-so-good things that might be helpful for others to know as they're planning: - Cayao: Exceptional food and service. As a Japanese person, I'm very skeptical of sushi outside of Japan, but it was really really good. It's a Peruvian-Japanese take, so not traditional, but you can tell from the way the rice was cooked and flavored that the chef knows what he's doing. We went there for two nights, and everything we had was very well cooked. - Sora: The small bites open-air restaurant bar is very very loud, and menu was limited. It's the only part of the resort that seemed out of place in an otherwise tranquil setting. I don't know if they're trying to be a scene, but there was a DJ and an aggressive saxophonist coming to tables to play right in front of you. It was noticeable that it was the only restaurant that was sparsely occupied. (As an aside, we considered ourselves lucky that we did not have rooms on that side of the resort. The windows seem like they do a good job of keeping sound out, but if you are sensitive to noise, you might want to request a room, not on that side). - Breakfast: Look forward to them. Their pastries and breads in particular are excellent. (If you can, opt for a package that includes breakfast because the sticker price is egregious) - Prices: I would agree with others that the prices on the property are exceptionally high. I got a 90-minute massage with hot stones, and it was close to $500. An Uber driver told us that when the property was sold, it was the most expensive purchase ever, and so they have to make it pay. (Aside: if you are comfortable, Ubers are prevalent, and there are third party services where you can hire out for really nice boat excursions etc so there workarounds for some of the experiences you might want) - Handicap accessibility: We had considered bringing my husband's parents with us, and it was good we didn't. Even though this resort may be technically handicap accessible and golf carts can get people to and from, this is a resort with lots of ups and downs and little steps everywhere. At night, the dim lights on the resort are probably not sufficient for some. My father-in-law with Parkinson's and a bad knee would have had severe anxieties. - Butler: This was the only disappointment. The hotel has no concierge desk because I think your butler is supposed to be providing that. This means that you are highly dependent on how good your butler might be, and ours was essentially useless (particularly in comparison to other resorts in other places where similar services were offered). He was good about letting us know when he started his day and ended his day, and we consider ourselves to be pretty self-sufficient in terms of booking off property restaurants etc. But we had three occasions where he could have helped: 1. On the first day, the room wasn't ready for us, and we were left waiting in the lobby for an hour after the check in time. The front desk staff was apologetic and promised that a manager would be speaking with us to explain and make it right, but that never happened - feels like this is something the butler could've made sure happened. 2. We expressed interest in the complimentary sound healing session which was supposed to take place at the adult only pool at a certain time, according to a sign in the lobby. We were there but it was either canceled or the location was wrong, and we got no notice about that. 3. We asked about lunch boxes to take with us early on the last day, and he suggested we order items from room service to go. The problem: room service items were clearly meant to be eaten in room and difficult to put in a box or eat cold. Given that the Mercado does sandwiches for lunch, it feels like this was a problem he could've helped us with. None of these are serious enough that we wouldn't consider staying here again, but we'd probably also look to see what our options were as well next time."

"This October will be my fourth stay in the past year, and it’s easy to see why I keep coming back. We stay in the 4-bedroom villas, which are spacious and beautifully designed. Service was exceptional. Every staff member went out of their way to make us feel welcome, and the attention to detail is unmatched. The resort itself is absolutely breathtaking, with stunning ocean views. I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for a luxurious and memorable getaway in Cabo, this is the place."
