PB hotel design editorial

Chihuahua's Distrito Uno development signals something relatively new for northern Mexico's largest city: a mixed-use urban district ambitious enough to anchor a genuine hotel identity rather than simply accommodate business travellers passing through. Vetta Distrito Uno Autograph Collection is the hospitality centrepiece of that project, a multi-storey property whose street-level facade combines dark steel framing and exposed brick cladding with backlit gold-veined marble at the entrance portal — a pairing that gestures toward industrial heritage while landing somewhere considerably more polished. The design logic becomes clearer moving upward through the building. A rooftop lounge anchors the upper floors in a fully glazed curved volume whose floor-to-ceiling steel-framed windows open onto panoramic city views, furnished with deep-cushioned modular sofas in forest green, raw timber side tables, and a sculptural branching installation that functions as both canopy and centrepiece. Guest rooms follow a darker, more considered register: textured linen-effect wallcovering, wide-plank oak flooring, walnut slatted screens dividing sleeping from dressing areas, and pendant bulbs suspended from near-black ceilings over upholstered headboards with dark macassar ebony panelling below. The pool terrace, set at mid-level with teak decking, mature olive trees in concrete planters, and red-and-white striped market umbrellas, introduces a deliberately relaxed counterpoint to the interiors' brooding material palette — proof that the property understands contrast as a design tool.
