"We booked a four-night stay at Roso Guest House (Room 104) to celebrate my husband’s birthday, expecting the five-star luxury experience advertised. Instead, we checked out after the first night. The “Junior Suite” was simply a basic, very small room with no sitting area, no refrigerator, no robes, and very limited toiletries. Room 104 is the only room with a balcony, but it overlooks only a tiny interior courtyard and the rooms directly across, offering virtually no privacy. The room had multiple maintenance issues. The wooden floor was badly bubbled from apparent water damage. We both tripped over it, and I actually fell. Around 3:00 a.m. we still couldn’t sleep because a large gap around the entry door let hallway light pour into the room, and the walls were so thin we could hear our neighbors snoring, talking, using the bathroom, and every movement as if they were in our room. We asked for earplugs, but the hotel had none, so we stuffed toilet paper in our ears and still couldn’t sleep. The manager assured us the remaining three nights would be refunded, so we checked out and had to book another hotel at the last minute, paying more than double the nightly rate. The hotel later refused the refund, forcing us through multiple rounds of communication. Only after I contacted Hilton’s Small Luxury Hotels of the World did they finally honor the refund. I appreciate that they ultimately did the right thing, but this is not a five-star luxury hotel. “Intimate” really means very small. It felt more like a shared Airbnb than a luxury boutique hotel. I cannot recommend staying here."

"Cozy and clean atmosphere. Room was big with a wonderful bathroom/shower. Very nice and personable staff! Location was great with good restaurants, including multiple Michelins, near. Noise level was low. The amenities were what you would expect for a boutique hotel. Overall great value. Highly recommend"

"We stayed for a couple of nights but checked out early. Pros: - Good location - Large, clean, tidy rooms - Friendly staff (especially the ladies at breakfast) - Inexpensive Cons: - Most rooms have very little natural light and despite ample space are not inviting. - Outside noise can be a bother, especially from the interior staircase/walkways in front of rooms which are metal and noisy when walked on. - No kettle/coffee maker in room and a kettle is not available on request. - Breakfast was airline lounge/supermarket quality. With fantastic bakeries in the neighborhood this is difficult to understand. Cooked breakfast (extra charge) was drab. - Only weak drip filter coffee was available for breakfast - no espresso etc. Supposedly the nespresso machine was broken the entire time we were there. While the room rate was good - it fell well short of expectations."

The property itself is a gorgeous boutique space is small in size, but that actually adds to its charm. It feels intimate, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. One unique touch I really appreciated was the scent when you walk in. There’s a subtle, clean floral fragrance that immediately creates a welcoming and calming atmosphere. It reinforces the overall impression of cleanliness and care. Security was also excellent, which added peace of mind throughout the stay. Overall, Rosso Guesthouse delivers a high-quality, detail-oriented experience. If you value cleanliness, thoughtful design, and attentive service in a cozy setting, this place is a standout choice."
