"Family of 4. Booked through Amex travel, upgraded to 800 room, walkable to the beach. Fine resort with large acreage with golf carts and bikes to ride around. Start your day at gym, followed by coffee with many pastry options at Cafe Maya. Brisas is a fine restaurant on the beach and the presentations is a five star. We enjoyed the dinner at La Laguna (Mexican), Bassano (Italian). We are vegetarians but Tauro was still an experience with our kids loved burger and short rib. The service was amazing n with Butler connected via WhatsApp group. Thanks to Fernando and Venessa, our stay was more easier. Overall highly recommend the experience. Will return back."

"This was our first time in Riviera Maya/Mayakoba and it was one of the best vacations we’ve had. We were one of four families – 16 total. We stayed at the Heritage residence and the unit was exceptional, and comfortably fit 8 of us. It was so great to have a kitchen, living/dining and balconies to hang out between activities and meals. It is a little far to the beach (1.3 miles) but the Fairmont makes it as easy as possible to get there with golf carts that make the rounds at the hotel to pick up and drop off guests. We were fortunate to have butler service which came with the Heritage, and were able to request the golf carts. There were countless gorgeous pools and for this time of year, lounge chairs at the pool and beach were plentiful. The service was outstanding, honestly above and beyond. Alejandro and Agustin were incredibly thoughtful and responsive. We bombarded them with questions, requests for dinner reservations and excursions, and they anticipated our needs and exceeded expectations every time. This sentiment applies to all the staff at Fairmont, from the staff at the front desk, pools, beach, water activities, drivers/boat captain, restaurants, room service, gardeners, etc. – everyone was kind and warm. A shout out to our room attendants – Antonio, Sarai and Doris – who left us sweet notes every day and did an amazing job. Our party did multiple excursions through Mayakoba Experiences (ATV/snorkeling with turtles/cenote, Tulum ruins/cenote, and whale shark snorkeling) and they were incredible. It may be a little more, but having Mayakoba transportation and service was very much worth it. We were taken care of every step of the way and we didn’t have to stress about the details, especially for our large group. We did the all inclusive package, and every single meal was excellent. Always something for everyone. As others noted, make reservations before you get to the hotel, as the tables fill up fast. I can’t think of a single constructive thing to say, the Fairmont sets a very high bar for other hotels now! Can't wait to visit again!!"
