"I feel my review only applies during the off-season, as we went during August. I unfortunately can’t recommend going during the peak of summer, as the weather is extremelyyy hot and unpredictable. I don’t feel like the hotel was built for the off-season, since it is intentionally meant to be primarily outdoors, there simply is nowhere besides your bedroom to escape the heat and the bugs (of which there were many this time of year, which unfortunately negatively impacted our ability to fully enjoy and relax during our time here). We basically ended each meal in a full sweat and likely bitten more than a few times by bugs. The estate also was… interesting. They definitely leaned into the natural desert flora vibe but also mixed it with mirrors in random places - it felt a little like a Coachella influencer Airbnb that is trying a little too hard to be vibey despite it quite literally being in the middle of the desert. Our room was nice, and the AC was definitely working overtime to try to keep our room cool enough to comfortably sleep in. I’ll note that the bathroom for the room requires you to go outside (still within the “room” but not the AC bedroom), and my girlfriend definitely encountered a few larger bugs on her way which made her somewhat uncomfortable. The hospitality was pleasant - everyone was extremely nice and welcoming, however we did notice that, particularly with the restaurant, everything was quite slow. Any request for anything would take quite a long time, and some staff were not very attentive (not all however as there were some who were very attentive!), but we felt we had to wave staff down while at the restaurant fairly often, which in our experience is unusual given the traditional high standard of Mexican hospitality. It seemed like some staff were fairly untrained, and it felt somewhat disorganized. The restaurant was pretty good, however given the prices of the meals (a dinner for with 2 entrees and 2 drinks would easily be >$100), we definitely weren’t blown away. The coffee was pretty amazing though I will note. I’d recommend anyone who visits to rent a car and travel to Todos Santos as there are some nice restaurants in town as well. I think because of the persistent flies, mosquitos, and biting gnats we weren’t really able to enjoy the meals as much as we would have otherwise. The best part of the experience by far was the experiences. Since we stayed 4 nights we received a complimentary day on the catamaran, which was absolutely amazing - the crew were super nice and friendly, the chef that made the meals did an amazing job, the drinks were fantastic, and we received an incredible tour of the famous 7 Bays. If we had not had this day included we likely would have left our stay from the hotel somewhat disappointed for the price we had paid, but the catamaran definitely made the trip more worth it. We also did the surf day which was so much fun, the surf guide was very nice and we learned a lot! Overall, I unfortunately don’t think we would plan on returning to Paraderos Todos Santos, but perhaps we are not the target market for the hotel. I feel bad because while many of the staff were genuinely very kind and welcoming, we unfortunately were not able to really truly relax given the heat, bugs, and slow service at the restaurant. I imagine my review would be different had we visited during the winter/spring when it is actual peak season for surfing, weather, etc. and there’s more people and things to do. I’m honestly surprised the hotel remains open during these hot months as there weren’t a ton of guests and I can’t imagine they are covering their operating costs."

"One of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. The room and grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. The quiet environment allowed for deep sleep and the opportunity to enjoy the nature around us. I enjoyed the art walk experience, and appreciated a local perspective on Todos Santos. The hike was spectacular and should not be missed. Yoga was a delight. The cooking class was a joy, and an excellent experience with the chef and a very skilled crew (and being able to cook in a dream kitchen was an added bonus). Paradero has a stunning pool overlooking the desert landscape that allowed for amazing relaxation with ample shade available as needed. I can't wait to return!"
