"I traveled to Lula with four adult children between Christmas and New Year's Day, and we all had a GREAT time. The hotel is immaculately clean and well-furnished. The beach is wide and clean. During our stay, I attended four wellness classes, each of which was unique, challenging, and inspiring. Two included live music:). The two restaurants, one Mediterranean cuisine and the other Mexican, were excellent, and we enjoyed fish, pasta, and numerous smoothies. Three of us had massages, and we were very satisfied with the spa and its services. Above all, the service was outstanding. One of my sons fell ill, and Isabel and Juan Carlos had the hotel doctor on the property almost immediately. In addition, Isabel managed a magical partial refund from a nonrefundable excursion we missed due to my son's illness. Felipe made every beach day so pleasant with his care and kindness. Every staff member we encountered was welcoming and courteous. I highly recommend Lula and La Zebra, its adjacent property, for rest, relaxation, wellness, and fun! Tulum is an easy, interesting location with a variety of clubs and fantastic restaurants. It is a great place to celebrate!"

"We absolutely loved our recent stay with the Lula. Great location, the beach is wonderful and the staff were all very attentive and friendly. The food is very good, although we didn’t find it quite as good as last year when we ate there frequently. If we can find a reasonable rate for Canadians we would love to return! 😜"

"There are very few places you can step out of your room onto white sand and be just a few steps from the ocean! La Lula hotel is one of them. You do pay significantly for it, but the experience is priceless and so worth it! From the plentiful beach beds, to the delicious ocean front dining and attentive waitstaff, we had an incredible time. And Victoria at the spa definitely needs to be mentioned! She gave me the best massage I have ever had! Incredible experience, especially after a few yoga classes and sore muscles. Actually, if you enjoy yoga, that’s a good enough reason to visit too! They have the most gorgeous yoga studio with open glass doors to maximize your view and sounds of the ocean as well as the feeling of “I can’t believe this is real” experience. I am overwhelmed with gratitude. ♥️ I might also be ruined for my next vacation!"

"Staying at Lula by Le Zebra felt like stepping into a modern magic treehouse. The property has a luxurious yet earthy Tulum vibe, with architecture built around the trees and thoughtful details everywhere, including foot rinses at every entrance, a beach shower, and a restaurant that flows seamlessly between indoors and the oceanfront. There’s even a rooftop above the spa and shala that’s perfect for watching the sunrise. My room was spacious, always spotless, and stocked with fresh water. The ocean-side balcony featured a hammock chair that I loved, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, complete with full, luxurious pillows. Housekeeping (Rosa and Teresa especially) went above and beyond, and each evening turndown service came with tea and cookies, which was the sweetest way to end the day. I slept soundly every night! The staff at Lula truly made the experience unforgettable. From the servers (Christian, Adolfo, Manuel, Leo, Damian) to guest services (Juan Carlos), everyone was attentive, kind, and proactive. I even left behind a bathing suit cover-up, and they found it for me before I realized it was missing. Service like that is rare. A Culinary Journey at Le Zebra’s Kitchen... Dining at Le Zebra’s kitchen was nothing short of magical! It is truly a five-star food journey that deserves its own spotlight. Chef Raziel and his team (Gabriel, Juan Pablo, and Daniel) prepared dishes that let the freshest local ingredients shine, turning every meal into an experience of flavor and beauty. We feasted on a range of gourmet foods, including whole grilled fish, perfectly cooked and presented with elegance. Ceviche arrived in coconuts, bright with lime, coconut milk, and herbs, tasting like the sea itself. Sashimi melted like silk on the tongue. Grilled chicken carried smoky tenderness, paired with crisp cucumber salads and vibrant bowls of fruit that made each breakfast feel like a sunrise. Even simple dishes like fresh hummus, greens, and sides were elevated into something memorable. Every plate was abundant, colorful, and alive, weaving together Mediterranean, local, and Asian-inspired flavors. It felt like eating from the earth, the sea, and the soul of Tulum. The service team, Christian, Adolfo, Manuel, Leo, and Damian, made the experience seamless. Warm, attentive, and incredibly fast, they anticipated every need. Even when mosquitoes challenged outdoor dining, they brought copal smoke and fans so we could stay immersed in the magic of the meal. Le Zebra’s kitchen is not just a restaurant, it’s a place where food becomes memory. I have truly never eaten so well in my life. Since it was low season, all our meals for the wellness retreat were prepared by Le Zebra’s kitchen, which served both properties, and every single dish was a masterpiece. The Wellness Experience by Chara I was also here as part of a wellness retreat curated by Chara, with Ricardo offering his gentle strength in movement classes. Together, they created a container that felt both intentional and spacious, weaving in the magic of Tulum while allowing us the freedom to rest or explore at our own pace. Lula is magical, unforgettable, and absolutely a place I would return to. (Because I was staying present at the wellness retreat, I did not have my phone on me and therefore not posting any pictures)"
