PB hotel design editorial

Perched on the hillside above the islet of Sveti Stefan, where the Adriatic coast of Montenegro curves toward Budva, Villa Geba commands one of the most recognisable panoramas in the entire Balkans — that terracotta-roofed medieval village rising from its causeway, caught at dusk in a light that turns the water to copper. The hotel is built across a cluster of structures that step down the slope in the manner of traditional Montenegrin hillside development, terra cotta roof tiles and limestone masonry fragments sitting alongside more contemporary glazed volumes, the whole compound held together by dark marble terrace paving and an infinity pool that dissolves visually into the bay below. The interiors move between two registers. Standard sea-view rooms favour a cool nautical palette — Venetian plaster walls in grey, geometric navy and cream rugs, upholstered headboards in ticked fabric, floor-to-ceiling frameless glass bringing the horizon directly into the room. The suites shift to something more cinematic: charcoal oak flooring, dark upholstered platform beds, amber patterned rugs, and cove lighting drawn tight to the ceiling cornice in a manner associated with the contemporary Italian hospitality studios working the Montenegrin coast. The rooftop restaurant terrace, furnished with rope-and-teak chairs under a glass balustrade, is positioned precisely to frame Sveti Stefan across white-linen tables — a view that does the heavy lifting, without the architecture needing to compete with it.

Villa Geba Reviews

"We were three couples who stayed at Villa Geba for five nights, in the Selma, Harmonia, and Selene suites. All the rooms are beautiful and luxurious, with plenty of space and two full bathrooms each. Each suite is unique but shares the same roomy and comfortable layout. Villa Geba is a small, well-run five star boutique hotel that feels very personal and relaxed. The views from the restaurant, pool, and rooms are absolutely stunning—you get a clear look at the Adriatic Sea and the island where the Aman Hotel is (now closed). The staff were wonderful—friendly, professional, and always ready to help. The pool area is peaceful and never crowded, thanks to the hotel’s small size of just seven rooms (five suites and two regular rooms). The jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna were a great bonus for relaxing. We also enjoyed the spa treatments; the massage therapists were excellent. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with amazing sea views and a great menu. The location is perfect for starting all kinds of tours around the area. The hotel picked us up from the airport and helped arrange transportation throughout our trip, which made everything easy and stress-free. Overall, Villa Geba offers a fantastic combination of luxury, great service, and unbeatable views. We highly recommend it for anyone visiting Montenegro."

"We booked this villa as it looked really nice and with beautiful views. Sveti Stefan is a really romantic village though there are also some negatives… Since arrival you feel that they value you as a guest in Villa Geba and that they want you to enjoy the stay. We even got our rooms earlier. I would like to appreciate all the service. However, it is a mixture of appartment style accomodation and hotel. Or at least for me. It is on hill, so to walk from village and beach is quite an exercise. Positive fact is that you can use facilities of other 5* hotel on beach and it is included. Also the swimming pool is really nice. The village itself - at time of our visit it was not possible to visit island. It is owned by hotel Amen and it is really complicated, the hotel did not even open this year. - The beach is quite nice. There is also playground for kids but not maintained which is pitty. - There are several restaurants, none of which has a good quality. The restaurant in the hotel is very nice and pleasant, however food variety is very limited (which I understand, because the hotel is small, but for for us the menu is enough just for one visit). But as there is no other restaurant in village that would offer good quality, I recommend it for dinner. Breakfast - needs improvement. It is served. We got partially rotten fruit plate (none of the fruit on it was fresh) so needed to ask for a new one. This shall not happen in 5* hotel. There is no good baguette, just “grilled” bread. But they prepared crepes for us which were not on menu. And croissants were good. Coffee (cappucino, latte) is not bad but also could be better. Overall breakfast takes long time especially when you have baby. Eggs took always 30-40 minutes. Rooms - you can see that they are making effort to make them nice, but - beds are small - It takes quite long time to get warm water in shower - we booked Villa Apollonia and on arrival I realized I could have booked just duplex suite and junior suite because villa apollonia is connection of these + double room which was not mentioned on website… we basically did not need double room and noone from my family liked this room, it was noisy and you can feel chlor (spa) there. Also I recommend deratization more often, there were ants in rooms and when I spent an hour at pool I got 5 bites from mosquitos. I understand it is hard to fight them:-). Overall, it is nice to visit but lets say for three days. I would like to thank everyone from Villa Geba for making our stay enjoyable and give 5* mainly because behavior towards guests is nice and of course views:-))))."
