"I stayed one night in mid-June in the Lempika Room. When I pulled back the blanket that evening, a bed bug was crawling across the white sheet. I killed it with tissue, photographed it, and immediately reported it to the night manager. He came to my room, where I showed him the dead insect and a stain on the sheet. Together we inspected the mattress and bedding and found numerous small red-brown spots consistent with bed bug fecal matter. He recorded a video of what we found. He then offered me two alternative rooms. I inspected both: the second showed the same staining pattern under the mattress. I moved into the first. The entire process took hours and significantly disrupted my sleep. The next morning, the day manager suggested I had left a window open and that what I'd seen was a mosquito. I asked to escalate to the hotel manager. She came down, told me the hotel has no bed bugs, claimed her review of the night manager's own video showed only a mosquito I had let in — and then laughed. She waved me off and repeated that it was nothing. I told her I intended to file a complaint with Relais & Châteaux. She did not respond. I settled my bill and left. For anyone skeptical: the insect I photographed has a flattened, segmented body and crawls rather than flies or jumps — consistent with *Cimex lectularius*. The tissue shows dark blood-derived staining typical of a fed bed bug when crushed. The fecal spotting we found under the mattress in two separate rooms is clear. The bug itself I can accept as an unfortunate reality at any hotel. What I cannot accept is being told — by the hotel manager, to my face, while laughing — that I fabricated a documented pest incident."

"Beautiful property hidden in plain sight. The location is wonderful, tucked into a quiet back street right behind a very busy area, which made it feel like a small escape in the middle of Casablanca. I stayed in the Hemingway Suite, very appropriately named, masculine and full of character. From the hotel I could easily walk to the park, Avenue Mohammed V, and even toward the Hassan II Mosque, though that one is a bit of a walk. Breakfast is served on the rooftop. The views are not particularly impressive, but the service and food absolutely were. Everything was fresh and prepared on the spot, and the staff throughout the property were warm, welcoming, and attentive. Highly recommended."

"I absolutely loved this hotel, and as a frequent traveler to Casablanca, I cannot wait to stay there again! It is a unique property tucked in a small alley in the heart of Casablanca with easy access to all major parts of the city. It is a small hotel, with each room offering a completely different experience (we stayed in two rooms during two separate stays this month), transporting us to the Art Deco era thanks to the beautifully curated vintage furniture and tasteful decor throughout the property. The rooftop restaurant offers an amazing Mediterranean menu. Breakfast on the same rooftop every morning was delightful. Most importantly, we were made to feel very welcomed and taken care of by the full team and really appreciated the warmth and hospitality extended to us. This is a luxury property that may be a well-kept secret in Casablanca. I am glad I discovered and I cannot wait to stay there again."
