PB hotel design editorial

Planted on the edge of the Al Maaden Golf Resort some twelve kilometres south of Marrakech's medina, where the Haouz plain stretches flat toward the Atlas foothills, the Park Hyatt Marrakech resolves an architectural tension that most resort developments in this city fumble: how to build at genuine scale without abandoning the handmade warmth of Moroccan material tradition. The low-slung pisé-toned volumes, their rooflines broken into terraced masses and screened by rows of date palms, draw more from the agricultural architecture of the surrounding plain than from the ornamental riad idiom that most international hotels default to. Two long reflecting pools anchor the grounds, their still surfaces throwing the terracotta facades back against a bleached Marrakchi sky. Inside, the interiors shift register considerably. The lobby lounge deploys diamond-patterned walnut panelling alongside black-and-gold marble flooring in a geometric composition that owes something to 1970s Moroccan Art Deco revivalism — curved rust velvet seating grouped around white marble tables, niches lined in dark stone displaying ceramic amphora. Guest rooms carry the warmth through more quietly: intricate marquetry-inlaid headboard walls in pale rattan-woven timber panels, brass-accented cabinetry, and shaggy stone-grey rugs grounding beds that open directly onto private garden terraces. Reeded pendant lanterns in hammered metal — a clear nod to traditional Fassi craftsmanship — hang at the sliding-door threshold where interior and garden dissolve into each other.

Park Hyatt Marrakech Reviews

"We have stayed at 40+ Hyatt Resorts, worlwide, including Park, Grand, Regency, Alila, Andaz, Miraval and more. This was by far our favorite. We traveled with our 2 sons, ages 3 and 5, and they hugged staff members as we left. They loved this property. Everything from the pool to the food to the kids club. Our kids are pretty picky eaters but the colorful food and flavors had them finishing every bite. I thought they would be nervous to be at the kids club but after picking them up for lunch they couldn't wait to get back. The attendant was more than a staff member, she was their friend by the end of 2 days. The duty manager was incredibly kind and always checking in on us. The pool staff helped us track down some sunscreen. The bartender made amazing drinks and even comped us one when my wife and I had some time away from the kids. All in all, My family can't wait to come back and as a globalist with hundreds of nights at Hyatt properties I can't recommend this one enough."

"I was sad when we had to leave. This property was perfect to pair our stays and visit to the market in Marrakesh. The Hotel is impressive with very nice hi end decoration, high ceilings, big areas, extra comfortable rooms and plenty of amenities. The breakfast experience was amazing, every day we get a change to have a different menu even though there was a buffet. We had one dinner with the Moroccan Style and it was AMAZING form the appetizer to dessert. The wine was really good as well. The SPA and Gym we love it. We used the gym twice and it was well equipped also we han a massage appointment at the SPA and the facilities as well as the staff where top. We are coming back for sure and I want all my friends and family to come or put this place on their bucket list. The level of hospitality in this Hotel, is Unreasonable, like the book: Unreasonable Hospitality. Thank you all!"
