PB hotel design editorial

Where the Mediterranean narrows toward the Strait of Gibraltar and the Rif Mountains descend to meet a crescent of pale Atlantic sand, a resort compound of whitewashed volumes rises above Restinga Beach with the unhurried confidence of a Moroccan coastal town translated into resort scale. The St. Regis La Bahia Blanca Resort Tamuda Bay draws its architectural language from the whitewashed vernacular of northern Morocco — flat-topped parapets, deep-set arched colonnades lining the pool terrace, wrought-iron balcony railings — arranged across five floors in a massing that steps and turns to maximize the bay views that define this stretch of Tamuda Bay's shoreline. The interiors negotiate the same meeting point between Moroccan craft tradition and contemporary resort comfort. Guest rooms are finished in herringbone-laid limestone flooring and layered with patterned rugs in dusty rose and cream, their four-poster beds canopied in white linen beneath pendant lanterns with a distinctly Moorish profile. The dining spaces push that cultural conversation further — black-framed arches frame a restaurant furnished with monochrome chevron bistro chairs and brass mid-century pendant clusters, teal drapery pulling the Mediterranean palette inward from the terrace beyond. Poolside, a line of dark-framed pergolas with white cushioned daybeds extends along the water's edge, palm trees planted at intervals that suggest permanence rather than decoration, the entire ensemble oriented toward a beach where Spain is close enough to feel present on the horizon.

The St. Regis La Bahia Blanca Resort, Tamuda Bay Reviews

"I had high expectations for the St Regis — a name that carries serious weight in luxury hospitality. Unfortunately, the experience fell well short of anything resembling that standard. Service was painfully slow from the moment we sat down. Drinks took an age to arrive, and when the food eventually showed up, the timing was completely off — dishes arriving out of sequence, some lukewarm, with no acknowledgement or apology from staff. For a property at this price point, basic service fundamentals shouldn’t be a lottery. A five-star name means nothing if the execution is three-star at best. Deeply disappointing."

"The best quality about St Regis La Bahia Blanca Resort is the staff! The resort is amazing as well. Upon my arrival to the resort I received a top tier welcome from Anas and Yassir. They immediately made me feel at home. This is important for someone traveling to a foreign continent, especially a solo traveler like myself. Shortly after, I had lunch where I met one of the best in the business, Ayoub. He provides 7 star service, and is naturally a great person. The rooms here are amazing, and the sea views are are icing on the cake. During my stay I had the opportunity to meet Yasser, who has only been at the resort for short time but you would think he owns the resort the way he cares for the guests including myself. He's one the best people I met in all of Morocco. I had a chance to experience authentic Moroccon cuisine from one of the best chefs, Chef Mohamed. The food was so so so amazing. Last but not least Mohamed S sent me away with top tier service in the valet. Thanks to the entire staff for hosting me, and providing a great experience in Morocco."
