"Excellent rooms, excellent design, excellent food. Staff at breakfast superb, in particular Bartosz. Excellent presentation of food. However, all receptionists we encountered during our stay were exclusively unfriendly to every single guest."

"Hotel Verte is an excellent base for exploring Warsaw’s Old Town. The original palace was destroyed during World War II but was meticulously reconstructed in the 1950s, along with much of Warsaw itself. The restoration is remarkable. The hotel has a truly palatial feel, with tall windows, elegant architecture, and ornamental statues gazing down from the roofline. I stayed at the hotel twice, once at the beginning of my tour of Poland and again at the end. During my first stay, I had a Junior Suite that was spacious, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. Blackout curtains ensured a restful night’s sleep despite Poland’s long summer days. The bed and pillows were comfortable, although I did ask to have the duvet replaced with a top sheet. A heavy down comforter suitable for winter isn’t really necessary during the summer, though it seems to be the norm in many hotels today. My room overlooked a quiet inner courtyard. During my second stay, I was in a Deluxe Room. Although smaller than the Junior Suite, it was equally comfortable. I especially appreciated the walk-in shower, as the suite’s shower was in a bathtub that required a fairly high step to enter. This room, however, was in the wing facing Miodowa Street. Each time a bus or truck passed, I could both hear and feel the vibrations. If you’re a light sleeper, I recommend requesting a room facing the courtyard instead. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet for about US$35, which is expensive by Polish standards. Since there is no à la carte option, I chose to have a lighter breakfast at one of the many excellent cafés within a short walk of the hotel."

"Location was perfect ! And the hotel it's beautiful. The only issue we had was the air conditioning. So it is controlled by the reception which I find this unacceptable for a hotel like this frankly. I had to keep calling over and over the front desk to tell them to set it cooler . They kept telling me -" it takes time to cool down" We stay there for 4 days and it was pretty hot . Kept waking up sweating!!!! It room was about 72 degrees."

"Beautiful Property, But Surprisingly Weak Service I stayed at Verte Hotel in Warsaw and left with very mixed feelings. Let me start with the positives. The hotel is located in what is probably one of the best locations in Warsaw. The property sits right next to the Old Town, in a beautiful historic area, and I honestly cannot imagine a better location for exploring the city. The building itself is also impressive: beautifully restored, elegant, and full of character. It feels new while preserving its historical atmosphere. The breakfast was another positive surprise and was genuinely enjoyable. Unfortunately, this is where most of the positives end. The first major disappointment was the room size. My room was approximately 10–12 square meters, which is extraordinarily small for a five-star hotel. I travel extensively around the world and stay in hotels very frequently, and I honestly cannot remember another five-star property where the room felt this cramped. There was barely enough space to move around comfortably, and the lack of space was noticeable throughout the stay. The second and much more serious issue was the service. The hotel appears to have very weak quality control and a general lack of attention to guests. For example, I called and requested water to be delivered to my room. It never arrived. The spa experience was even more disappointing. When I visited the spa for the first time, there were no towels and no bathrobes available in the changing room. I had to call out and search for a staff member, and only after several minutes did someone finally appear. To make matters worse, the bathrobe I received was either intended for a child or a very small woman. It barely fit. In a hotel that positions itself as a luxury five-star property, I find it difficult to understand why staff would not simply provide a properly sized bathrobe for a guest. On the second day, the situation became even stranger. I visited the spa again and could not find a single staff member anywhere. There was literally nobody available to ask for assistance, towels, or a bathrobe. Once again, there were no towels available in the changing area. The overall impression was not just weak service but, at times, a complete absence of service. Before my stay, I also tried calling the hotel several times from an external phone number to ask about the gym opening hours. I called repeatedly—around ten times—and nobody answered. Nobody called back either. The fitness center was another disappointment. The room itself is reasonably large, but the equipment selection is extremely basic and lacks many essential machines. If fitness is important to you while traveling, this hotel is unlikely to meet your expectations. What makes this even more surprising is that there appears to be enough space to add several additional functional machines and significantly improve the gym experience. In summary, Verte Hotel is a beautiful building in an exceptional location with good breakfasts. Unfortunately, the quality of service falls far below what I would expect from a five-star hotel. The property has enormous potential, but at the moment it feels as if the management is focusing on the building itself while neglecting the guest experience. Would I return? No. Warsaw has many excellent hotels, and I am confident there are better options that combine a beautiful property with the level of service that a five-star hotel should provide."

"Fantastic hotel in the old town area. Room was very spacious, and bathroom as well with all the amenities of a five star hotel. They have premium complementary water —still and sparkling. Nice espresso machine in the room. House keeping was excellent. Breakfast and food top notch. The bartenders all stylish and serving fancy drinks inside or outside in the gorgeous courtyard. On the lower level, there is a spa closes 9 PM and 24 hour accessible gymnasium. The spa has a wonderful steam and sauna area and massage. Therapist are available. Only negative and at no fault to the hotel is some guests like everywhere else I’ve been seemingly can make a lot of noise in the hallway (eg running kids , banging doors). In summary fantastic, and excellent hotel in Warsaw. Would definitely return when in Warsaw."
