"I can say without failure that this is the best hotel experience my husband and I have had in all our years traveling. We’ve traveled the world (30+ countries) and stayed in many, many hotels and W Algarve takes the top for us. The moment we arrived, we were greeted and the car was immediately valeted and the luggage was put onto a cart. We went straight to check-in and were greeted with sparking wine and ready to start the check-in process. During the check-in process, the women were always beyond professional, courteous and smiling. They both explained everything about the resort with so much detail and made everything very clear. We ended up getting upgraded and checked-in early, which was such a plus. Once we got to our room, the bellhop put everything into the room and gave us a quick rundown of the room since he was all very modern and updated. From there, we noticed the balloons and hearts and a personalized note left on the glass of the bathroom by the staff acknowledging our five year wedding anniversary. I was in so much awe already. The room was beyond stunning and clean. It was literally bigger than our first studio apartment in Boston. The balcony overlooking the resort and onto the ocean was simply breathtaking. From there, each night the Whatever Whenever team prepared a special surprise in the room for us for being Gold Elite members and celebrating an anniversary. Even at check-out we got another gift letting us know how much they appreciated our business. It’s these simple yet personalized touches that make these stays so memorable and ones that I will be talking about to friends and family to forever. We witnessed a situation occur at breakfast that didn’t sit well with my husband and I and I brought it up to the amazing woman at the reception counter (I wish I got her name, but if you read this review, you’re amazing and I so appreciate you!) who handled it immediately and took it very seriously. This had nothing to do with our experience and did not hinder our stay in anyway. Overall, staying at the W Algarve was my favorite part of our 5-year wedding anniversary trip. Everything was utterly seamless and perfect. I already said to my husband that we’re coming back one day because our experience was just that good. To everyone at the W Algarve, keep up the excellent, excellent work. Whatever you are doing, do not change a thing. The customers notice and you’re hard working is 100% paying off. "Our stay at W Algarve was overall a very positive and memorable experience. From the beginning, the communication stood out positively. The “Whatever/Whenever” team and the reservations department contacted us proactively before arrival to reconfirm our booking details and preferences. This felt professional, attentive, and guest-oriented without being overwhelming. Before arrival, we shared a few wishes for our stay, especially the possibility of remaining in the same room for our consecutive reservations, a quiet room, and harder pillows for better sleep comfort. Unfortunately, it was not possible to keep the same room for the second reservation, but the team still tried to accommodate our requests as much as possible. The property itself is excellent: modern architecture, stylish atmosphere, spacious rooms with beautiful pool views, and an outstanding breakfast with high-quality products and presentation. Overall, W Algarve offers a luxurious and vibrant experience with many strengths, particularly in design, breakfast quality, and proactive communication."

"What a property! Such great service! All the staff is so friendly! The property is gorgeous, and we were so sad to leave. It has a heated pool, great secret coves/beaches, multiple dining options, a kids play area! The rooms are great too!"

"Outstanding hotel with mostly exceptional staff sadly the culinary experience was regrettable. Papermoon main course of Spring chicken was two small legs two small wings although alacarte was very poor quality. The restaurant were aware that this, was a celebration for my wifes retirement after 30 yrs nursing in the NHS and offered us two drinks a liqueur and port, to find later we had been charged €25! Next evening we went to the Market kitchen for the season opening night. Ordered the Cataplana and fillet tenderloin cooked medium to well done. Cataplana was excellent but the steak was very rare the kitchen chef re cooked it, but still rare it went back again and this time burnt an not edible. My wife was offered a replacement steak but my meal would be cold waiting for hers I wasn't prepared to eat my meal without my wife so both meals were left. Restaurant supervisor was very professional but we were still charged for my Cataplana which wasn't eaten and our drinks. Not a good experience. Couldn't fault the breakfast or service but evidently when something goes wrong they haven't a clue how to address the problem. We have travelled globally and have dined in some great restaurants and some not up to standard it's unfortunate that the W Algarve let us down badly and our concerns to customer service not taken seriously. We used restaurants locally and in Albufeira for the remainder of our stay."
