"Birthdays are always special, but this one was made unforgettable thanks to the incredible team at W Algarve. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the stunning multi-level suites with a private plunge pool — the kind of space that makes you immediately slow down and enjoy the moment. Even with the weather not fully cooperating, the experience never missed a beat. A huge thank you to the Insider team — Diogo and Carina — along with Cassie and the amazing “Whatever/Whenever” team who truly lived up to the name. Every detail was handled with warmth, professionalism, and a level of hospitality that made the entire stay feel effortless. One highlight that absolutely deserves a mention was dinner at Vino by Paper Moon. The food was exceptional and Lory took incredible care of us throughout the evening. A perfect combination of great cuisine, atmosphere, and service. Grateful for the memories, the hospitality, and the people who made this birthday weekend so special. "We loved our stay at the W. Great welcome from the team and this continued with all staff during our stay. The room was excellent and the facilities very good. The area around the hotel is nice with a few good restaurants and cafes. The beach that can be accessed from the Hotel is very nice and it’s a short walk to Galé beach too which is very nice."

"We were very impressed by this beautiful resort. Everything was just perfect. The friendliness of the staff, the service from arrival to departure, the fantastic garden and pool area, the size of the rooms and balconies, and the cleanliness made our stay a truly memorable experience. Beaches, restaurants, and supermarkets were nearby. The resort is located in Gale, in an upscale residential area. The Management of this resort is doing an excellent job. "Our stay at W Algarve was truly beyond our expectations. We booked the two-bedroom suite, and it was incredibly spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our family of five. The wraparound balcony offered spectacular ocean views that made every morning feel special. The property itself is beautiful and expansive with so much to explore. Our kids absolutely loved the playground. Although we visited in February and it was too cold to swim, the pool looked amazing and there was also a lovely jacuzzi. The beach access was another highlight with stunning views, and evening walks around the property under the stars were peaceful and memorable. The gym deserves special recognition—it was the best we used during our entire trip, with a huge space and a wide variety of machines and weights. What truly made our stay exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly hospitable and accommodating from start to finish, welcoming us with sparkling wine for the adults and juices for the kids. When our return flights were unexpectedly cancelled, they went above and beyond—helping us extend our stay at a reduced rate, contacting the car rental company for us, and even preparing packaged breakfasts for our early departure. It truly felt like a home away from home. Our family will always remember the Algarve with such fondness because of this stay, and we would absolutely love to return."

"It was the second time we stayed at the W Algarve. This stay was for four nights. The luxurious facilities and their unique, modern, and appealing design reflect the spirit of the W brand. We had already described them in our previous review here on TA in October 2024. In our opinion, its architectural style is the most successful among the W properties we know. The room category assigned to us (#4036), Larger Room, Ocean View, was an upgrade due to our Titanium status. The room was enormous (53 m²), with a well-executed W-style décor, also described in our previous review. Unfortunately, we were not upgraded to a suite this time either, even though the resort had low occupancy… Overall, the service was excellent. However, there are a few points that need improvement, which we had not noticed during our previous stay. One evening, when one of us went to the garage to retrieve an item from our car that we needed, he was approached by one of the staff members in a rather “policing” manner, as if our intentions were being questioned. We fully understand that security must be ensured, but there are other ways to approach guests. This attitude did not in any way reflect the otherwise impeccable concierge service. Another point to consider is that, even in low season, guests staying at the resort should be able to enjoy the common areas of the property. On Saturday, when we wanted to relax a bit in the sun, we had to ask for cushions ourselves in order to sit down… The chairs around the pool were not even set up… There was no background music either… Housekeeping should also pay more attention when making the bed. Every night we had to remake it because the sheets were left crumpled at the foot of the bed instead of properly stretched. Finally, the property cannot serve breakfast the way it did on the last day of our stay, when the buffet was reduced to almost nothing (it would have been better not to have put it out at all) while increasing the variety of à la carte dishes. Unfortunately, they also reduced the number of staff, and we waited more than an hour for a dish that had been forgotten. Breakfast was chaotic, with both the kitchen and service teams completely disoriented… This is something that CANNOT happen in a hotel, let alone in a “luxury” resort!… They compensated us with 5,000 points, but in the final points credit some were missing, and we had to file a complaint with Marriott. In short, unfortunately, we cannot rate the W Algarve the same way we did the first time…"
